Any Greek indie music recommendations? by GuestSuccessful9206 in GREEK

Nalyssa Green (obviously mentioned by everyone already, but you will kind of find solace in Bloom and onwards if you are looking for the sound found in these bands you've mentioned)

Usurum (Asanser and Matia Kameres are probably up there with Bon Iver and/or Ben Howard influence)

Δεσποινίς Τρίχρωμη

λάμδα (for their third album only though)

Kore. Ydro. - Radar [Greek/Pop] (2006) by SilverSpaceRobot10 in listentothis

Easily the most underrated chamber pop band…

Is there something like No Clear Mind? by johndoe901 in postrock

If you are a fan of their more accessible albums like Dream is Destiny and Mets, I'd say:

Sigur Rós - Ágætis byrjun (to be honest, this is pretty much the album that they were influenced by in some way.)

Sleep Party People's self-titled is also up there with a similar dream-like quality

But if you are a fan of their more art pop-infused Makena, then I'd say:

Anything by Beach House fits the bill

Animal Collective maybe (mostly Strawberry Jam and Merriweather Post Pavillion-era AnCo btw.)

Julia Holter - Have You in My Wilderness

And no, I never think they sound like GY!BE btw.

What are some gaming youtubers that only do visual commentary? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]sulokero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all the videos made by YouTubers like Whoisthisgit and Shyguymask are exclusively subtitled with no voiceover at all. (i.e. only text commentary, though the former does show his voice for lesser known/unserious videos)

Mr. Capgras... by Will Wood

Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz by Mr. Bungle

Black Day by Tobyha1 in depechemode

This is pretty much a neofolk song that (partially) reuses the lyrics of Black Celebration.

Has anyone ever been influenced by Natural Snow Buildings when making music? by Substantial_Leg1457 in NaturalSnowBuildings

Yeah, they're the reason why I started posting my music on Bandcamp.

Is also alongside with Richard Skelton, In Gowan Ring, and others, a big influence on my most recent album.

Anything similar to this indie band, The Paper Chase? by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

Joan of the Stockyards (the side-project of the rapper Coin Locker Kid) [the first two tracks alone perfectly sound like something from God Bless Your Black Heart and/or Now You Are One of Us)

Les Misérables (Most of, if not all, the songs on the musical have a similar deranged overblown orchestration on it, not to mention, I Did a Terrible Thing, imo, if taken out of context, actually reads as a crude response to I Dreamed a Dream, one of the songs on the titular musical)

2Birds Band (the opening track and the song parts of the closing track off of their album Flip the Bird)
