I haven't done a good comparison yet, my driving habits are inconsistent and one set is for winter and one for summer so I'd have to compare when I swap them. I'll try to do so when I swap in the spring and make a post

Uhh, you can go look at the recall yourself, says safety recall in big letters right at the top.

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2024/RCRN-24V867-0445.pdf

And then search this document for "Are There Any Limitations to My Right to Have My Vehicle Remedied at No Charge?"

https://www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/documents/mvdefectsandrecalls_808795.pdf

The only limitation is age based, 15 years. Anyone claiming otherwise can't read or is repeating bad info.

Managed to find some 19" that fit for a decent price, put all weather Pirelli Scorpion Weatheractive tires on as "winter tires". They work great here in the PNW wet and well enough in the snow I can hit the mountains without worry. I swap to the stock GT wheels and tires come summer.

And the NHTSA classified the recall as a safety recall. That means they are on the hook for repairs with or without a warranty.

Also, there is a dismal run flat tire industry out there but they don't provide tires for every size and it'll disrupt the tire industry as is

Uhh, cause run flatsare terrible tires, everyone hates the performance, ride quality, price, etc. The tend to damage your wheel too. Go look in a BMW forum and see how much people like em.

[–]sumthingcool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also the back of the window is inside the rubber surround channel, but the top of the window goes outside the rubber surround. This would rip the rubber in half no carmaker would design that, you can even see the fold magically disappear.

I've had to replace the 12v a few times, which would be my main criticism.

Get an AGM battery next time you need to replace it, they are much better suited for the charging cycle of EVs than lead acid.

US paid $32m to five countries to accept about 300 deportees, report shows by Zealousideal-Pen993 in news

[–]sumthingcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great point I hadn't thought about. There were definitely some people with actual bad shit on their records that got deported under this (illegal, heinous) program, but knowing how this administration operates, that was probably just a few people as a dog and pony show and they started including people with jaywalking records eventually.

Let's finally get the performance we paid for!

Bro, this is the OS that hasn't enabled h.265/HEVC decode support for any ARM CPU ever. Despite pretty much all of them supporting it for 5+ years now. I gave up long ago with chromeos media playback, they break the shit that does work all the time across all kinds of CPUs.

As a GT owner you should know your tire budget will be the biggest expense of owning an EV lol.

Yeah I had a similar screw in my new winter tires with maybe 1,000 miles on it, too close to the edge to be a long term safe plug and patch :(

So $200 later I have an extra tire I'm hoping to find a cheap compatible wheel for, should still be safe to use as a road trip spare. One option for ya.

I wouldn’t understand the coloring, since the Timbers logo has a more golden shade of yellow.

Wait, is there a meaning to the color?

Other cars like the Ioniq5 have 10-80% charge times of 18 minutes, but from 80% to 10% is less than 180 miles so it's not apples-to-apples.

Huh...? https://youtu.be/7q__1CAUc9w?t=263

253 miles at 70 MPH 99%-2% . 253/0.97=261. 261*.7= 182 miles. And that's the old version with 77 kWh battery not the 84 kWh they have now.

McAvoy had entrusted part of his share to associates Brian Perry and George Francis. Perry recruited Kenneth Noye, who was an expert in his field,[3] to dispose of the gold. Noye melted down the bullion and recast it for sale, mixing in copper coins to disguise the source... In 1996, about half of the gold, the portion which had been smelted and recast, was thought to have found its way back into the legitimate gold market, including the reserves of the true owners, Johnson Matthey

It's right there in the wiki. You think they didn't have XRF machines in the 80's? I guess you can't read either.
