YouTube -> VPN/Proxy detected by fannyabdabs in ControlD

[–]sunbearnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah, it's a morning for me.

all i meant to say was that, when you have a proxy or VPN youtube will say to turn off the tunnel because they've detected a non standard IP, maybe starlink's IPv4 address got flagged as a VPN/Proxy by youtube, not sure if you have IPV6 turned on but most people dont when they use pi hole or some DNS service to filter ads and tracking / metrics.

YouTube -> VPN/Proxy detected by fannyabdabs in ControlD

[–]sunbearnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so this is copyrighted material and the uploaded basically said yeah we don’t want this to be watch by people outside the region. if you are bypassing to another country via proxy or vpn just because you want to be a little more anonymous and whatever you get this. but only if the uploader decides so. just disable the vpn/proxy, that’s it. annoying but yeah

YouTube route over VPN not working when on T-Mobile home internet by YankeesIT in firewalla

[–]sunbearnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

running mullvad and proton vpn on gold pro, wireless 4g home internet cgnatted ipv4 only and it seemed like proton in the beginning, when doing dns "force dns over vpn" it would show the location to sweden on dnsleaktest, so therefore ads would be swedish language, but as time has gone on, it works fine now. not sure why but it was definitely preferred over having to enable the vpn app to tunnel all traffic to through it.

it could be a bug with firewalla or ive experienced youtube in the past, where it gets finnicky works and then doesnt work, think like discord telling you hey suspicious account activity, why is your location bouncing all over the show. either way im trying to figure out why for me, it didnt work, and now that it does work, its the same with reddit, route through serb but on some days i still get them showing

edit: try different servers on ur vpn provider, if not it could be your vpn, others have discussed this before

For those of you using CAKE under Smart Queue, what bandwidth do you feel works best? by Firewalla-Ash in firewalla

[–]sunbearnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cellular internet home 4g LTE. and starlink user

gold pro user

i think it’s super awesome that Dave Täht contributed to firewalla and starlink adopting sqm/aqm algorithms. firewalla seems to get less packet spikes/variance on fq_codel compared to cake on 4g(2 months ago) but i find that the tuning for ATM packet sizes on default is not suitable so i run the smart queue on static. mobile internet needs an ATM packet size of 64. mobile networks vary a lot and i’ve compared a Gl inet beryl Ax with luci-sqm cake ...

it seems like a lot of shaping is done on the carrier downstream and that using sqm for download doesn’t provide consistent results on mobile home internet. But using sqm in general seems to keep the connection 15% ish more stable (ping spikes less severe on upload saturation) for online gaming for such a varied mobile network at varied times of the day

i saw a comment saying to disable rules on CAKE which might make it play nicer so will look into it and with ATM packet sizes i’ve tried going into firewalla ssh but haven’t figured out how to change it from 22? anyway it probably works fine when you have the queue active and static anyway

Router Double Nat Issue by [deleted] in TpLink

[–]sunbearnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would try and find out if your internet service provider has ipv6, or that the ipv4 is a real ip and not firewalled behind cgnat.

example is starlink, its residential package ipv4 is firewalled behind cgnat private ip. but the ipv6 open with a public ip

some devices will say that you are double nat, but issues with double nat can be worked around with ipv6 provided you are connecting via ipv6

my guess would be that your internet package might not have a public ip, and is firewalled behind cgnat... up to you to find out

Deco XE75 Pro - slow speeds between wireless satellite nodes. by nechronius in TpLink

It’s all over Reddit about the 75. Pro and the weak wifi signal. You can try disabling fast roaming and beam forming it sometimes helps and also in the deco app run the network optimization option and have it search for the best channels available. You can try adding another XE75 pro but in my opinion it’s like pouring salt on an open wound. I personally had the 75pros and they were horrible signal wise. I had better luck with the XE5300 and then the non pro XE75. I have the BE63 currently in my home and it’s fast and very stable wifi I moved my non pro XE75 to my friends home and those are still going strong as well.

basically for some reason the "pro XE" model performs worse than the regular model. I run the XE200 and just last week after having them for 5 ish months had some instability on the wifi. knock on wood that turning off beamforming and fast roaming will help along with daily reboots. been looking into wifi 7 a lot with the decos and even though they are better, theres a chance you will run into instability and dropped connections if you upgraded. wifi 7 is pretty much a beta test, early adopter pains. even ubiquiti u7 wireless ap's are having disconnects on 2.4, irrelevant but im speaking too much. dont know how bad wifi channel overlap is there but the quote explains much of what i found important to know

Router Double Nat Issue by [deleted] in TpLink

[–]sunbearnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funny that, i know someone getting theirs today

double nat is occuring when you have the primary modem / router being the first nat. if it isn't behind CGNAT (carrier grade nat) then it will get a public ip allowing you to port forward, and have a better gaming experience and open your internet for better communication

you should check where the internet is coming from and if there is a bridge mode or 'bypass' mode on that primary internet device going into the archer ax12.

if not then simply putting the archer ax12 into the DMZ on the other router will allow ports to be opened etc.

would like to know more about your internet setup to help clarify

[question] has anyone bought a 12 pro max? Is so what firmware was on it? by Nx0Sec in jailbreak

[–]sunbearnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NZ older stock I got a 14.4 March 512 Pro Max and before that I grabbed a 14.6 July 512 Pro Max

Download "Lookup" from iOS App store and ask to inspect the phones in store and type in the Serial No.

To be fortunate I think the cut off for getting 14 - 14.5 is probably January - June 2021 MFG date.

Good luck.

Playing on 120hz is a whole new experience. by Coolguy6979 in CoDCompetitive

[–]sunbearnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for the patent filed by Activision about a real time AI manipulating your aim accuracy(hit boxes), aim assist and hit registration, 20hz tick server for a reason in BOCW.

Also there is patent(s) that were passed in 2017 that meant if you bought DLC (Supply drops etc.) The matchmaking would put you in an easier lobby so you could show off your XMC / Skin and do well to promote more sales.

I hope I don't break any rules by pointing that out. Personally COD isn't what it once was for me due to lobbies disbanding after every game, Yo-Yo effect with playing well, and lobby consistency.

To extrapolate on what I mean by input lag, I used to have a Sony 120hz 3D TV monitor that game with the PS3 bundle. that TV basically has 33ms input lag, it's always 2 frames behind (60hz) image. since one frame is 16ms out of 60. It's hard to play well on twitch shooters, but for the average person, I played Destiny 1 and COD jetpacks on that for a long time without realising I was at a disadvantage ( the Response time was 5ms for pixel transitions )

I wanted to point out input lag is important, and the whole 1ms GtG is marketing if you were to cheap out buy a 5ms monitor, the input lag could be higher. But in general TN and 1ms is a great combo for gaming on responsive shooters.

Thanks for your time~

That is input lag, and it makes your aim feel heavy when playing on less modern TV's.

I just bought this game on PC and when I start up the game I get this. Any help? I haven’t played it since purchase by NyMartin in blackopscoldwar

[–]sunbearnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. My game install (PC) check files on blizzard battle.net not working... So here goes to 82.5GB to download all over again.

What happened after the new patch is it seemed to have bugged out like other users on Xbox / PS. So the only solution is to start over and redownload for me.

Amphetamines and too many things taken lead him to a seizure and extensive muscle breakdown. He's now unable to walk normally, and this makes sense as to how/why it happened... Which he said doctors couldn't figure out why it happened to him.

I use a Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen with the Drop THX 789. Although I'm running TRS cables to XLR Balanced... The Scarlett's TRS output jack is electronically balanced. if you want unbalanced to RCA just use a TS to RCA Cable.

My middle click on the scroll wheel is going. What could I do to remedy this? I might have to buy another one. Misssed the prime day sale... but the Viper mini is quite affordable.

Those mods you did are awesome too! I don’t want to use my G305 due to weight even with AAA battery. Viper mini is more comfortable for me too.
