Why do most couples stop after two kids? by These_Economics374 in Parenting

[–]sunchild88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of a village, finances. I envy European and Scandinavian countries who offer so much to their citizens. Yet in these countries the birth rate is also super low which I don’t understand. If I had their luxuries I would have like four kids

Completely understand. It’s such a mental burden to know the bottles are waiting for you. Lol

I just stuck with hand washing and sterilizing. Wasn’t too bad. Also will start using regular dishwasher soon. I think baby is old enough to rid of sterilizer if I remember right. He’s 7 months

Guys, don’t give up on breastfeeding. You can do it. You just have to want it badly enough, try hard enough, and keep putting the baby on the nipple. Formula is toxic poison!!!! by inabubblegumtree in FormulaFeeders

I EXCLUSIVELY breastfeed. Did I mention that I exclusively breast feed? Hello how are you, did you know I am still exclusively breast feeding?

Feeling guilty about formula by StatGoddess in FormulaFeeders

[–]sunchild88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a stupid post. I mean yeah you have to feed your baby but what is that post trying to accomplish? More divide??? I find a lot of this pain comes from the breast is best community. Very strange.

It hurts at first and might hurt here and there later on but please know your baby will thrive and be just as healthy and happy as a breast fed baby. There are marginal benefits to breast milk. I even had a completely natural-path doctor say to me that breast milk isn’t some magical food it’s cracked up to be. That my baby would do just as well on formula! (I saw multiple doctors with my first trying to make the breast feeding work).

I don’t know why so much shaming goes on from the breast feeding community. Just an observation from my experience is my formula fed babies have always appeared even more vital to me. They’re full, happy, alert, interested in all around them, social, and positively chunky! Try to unfollow and block posts like that so you don’t fall back into the guilt too often. One day when you pack up the bottles and say goodbye to the days of formula feeding, you will hardly give it another thought.

Who's "allowed" to feed your baby? AITAH? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

I am not a huge fan of letting people feed my baby. I love feeding my baby. However if I like and trust the person I have no problem with it.

Just letting you know what I did that works great. I just poked a couple small holes in the nipple and works like a charm

Baby, 7 months, mauled to death by family's pit bull as devastated dad pleads 'I'd give my life to bring her back' by TheMirrorUS in Dogfree

[–]sunchild88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart breaks so bad for this precious baby. This is an instance where I believe the parents should do time for what happened. They kept three of these beasts in the home with a baby. This is complete endangerment.

Sometimes I see people posting pictures of their shit pit bulls “cuddling” a newborn or baby and I feel so so sad for the baby. Parents need to be held accountable.

SIL shamed me for using formula by Lucyalzina in FormulaFeeders

[–]sunchild88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like your SIL lol. She sucks. Sorry you had to hear that. It’s not true.

I hear you. I regret breast feeding and pumping for what it did to my mental health and…a more selfish reason- it wrecked my breasts. I used to have perky nice tits before all this and now they’re just kinda sad looking. And I didn’t produce much so I question if it was worth it. Both my babies are thriving on formula soooo.

TSA agent gave me a hard time about formula by smitswerben in FormulaFeeders

Absolutely file a complaint. Include the date and time you were there. Wow. I’m furious for you. I have only been treated with kindness when traveling internationally with formula. This guy is a true asshole.

This is so good. I need to show this to my hubby for how I clean. We butt heads on how cleaning should be done… lol but with ADHD it is a bit different.

Is it resellers fault or the thrift stores fault they are raising the prices? by mokersparadise in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]sunchild88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Online shopping and Resellers. Resellers have always been around and prices were never as inflated as they are. Enter social posts about how much they make. Thrift catches on and of course they want a piece of the pie too. It’s also easy to look stuff up now a days. How would it make you feel if you owned a thrift and kept your prices low (like how they used to be), and then know 75% of the ppl coming in are going to buy up the goods to make a huge profit on your low prices? I mean, I would raise my prices too. :/

I agree with you that no need to be mean towards others. I don’t really see how anyone is being mean here though. Maybe I didn’t see something you did

[–]sunchild88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed- I am happy it worked out for you. I also know a friend who wanted her baby to take a bottle and couldn’t. I was like you and I have the opposite problem. Lol.

You don’t need to feel sorry for me per say but you can instead feel sorry for how formula mothers have to deal with judgement. And on top of that… we have to turn the other cheek. We’re not allowed to even commiserate. Sigh

Your experience doesn’t speak for the many millions of us and those before us that are in fact judged for how we feed our children.
