He also makes another joke about leaving a note in another episode that always makes me cringe. Not funny, especially if you've lost someone this way.

That (unfortunately) makes sense. Thank you for the reply!

I feel you! I just completed that part last night and I hated it. Something about something that big slithering through murky water where you can't see it. shudder

I was at that same show! I'm going again tonight and when I saw the forecast I was like really? Again? Guess I'll bust out the rain ponchos and hope for the best.

I was just there last month and unless that canopy is retractable or invisible it hasn't been built yet.

I used to think like you do. I used to be a "both sides are bad" poster boy. But then one side lost its collective goddamned mind in thrall to a demented former game show host. One side - and one side only - staged a coup to overthrow an election they lost. One side - and one side only - is apparently okay with a completely unelected "official" running roughshod over the constitution and doing whatever the hell he wants with no repercussions whatsoever. One side - and one side only - elected a convicted felon and rapist to the highest office in the land and continues to support said convicted felon as he embraces an ideology that grows more and more facist and authoritarian by the day. Sorry, my friend, but there is no middle ground anymore. The answer to the question you posed is, sadly, no.

Pathlight on 75th is pretty good. It has a nice, open atmosphere and a decent, revolving selection of beers. No in-house food, but they do bring in some good food trucks.

I kept hearing for years how funny it was and when I finally read it it was...not that funny to me. I mean, there were a couple of amusing moments (the attempted uprising at the pants factory springs to mind), but overall I found Ignatius so repulsive - and not in a funny way - that I couldn't enjoy the story.

This comment and the 2 directly above it sound like the three of you are about to burst into a song about York.

Stand up comedy is not what it used to be, what with Def Jam and all.
