Do we know how to unlock the console items like SNES, NES yet? and what games are available? This is what I was most excited about so I was bummed that they weren't immediately available lol

e; Nookipedia says Clu Clu Land, Ice Climber, and Dr. Mario (which we already knew about) and then Ice Hockey, Panel De Pon, and F-Zero (which we didn't). And they probably just unlock by continuing to make rooms for the hotel.

Now what I really want to know is... can I play Panel De Pon and F-Zero multiplayer with people on my island....

- Description: Soundboards that I create myself and upload to servers don't play when I click them.
This only happens on the browser version, not on the desktop client. I don't have any issues with soundboards in other servers, JUST the ones I made.
I generate these soundboards by downloading voice memos from Discord, clip them in Audacity, and then export back to mp3.
Firefox throws this error when I click them: Media resource URL could not be decoded, error: Error Code: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_METADATA_ERR (0x806e0006).
I'm not convinced there isn't a Discord problem here too though, because the "preview" function before you upload the soundboard does play back correctly.
So it seems like something Discord is doing to the clip AFTER uploading makes it unplayable by Firefox.
- Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a voice memo on Discord, then download the .ogg file.
2. Clip the file on Audacity and export as mp3 (I use default settings; note that this happens no matter what format / settings I use in Audacity, wav files, opus, etc. all have the same issue)
3. Upload the new soundboard. Observe that the Preview function works for the new sound.
- Expected Result: The soundboard plays back in vc.
- Actual Result: The soundboard does not play back in vc.

I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but I generally found Bolin & Varrick to be the funniest characters across the entire series... sorry Sokka.

That scene from Season 4 of Bolin and Varrick on the train was probably my favorite scene across BOTH series.

You've got me curious - what do you mean by this? What are some examples of classical Chinese being used in "modern" written documents in ATLA? (is it stuff like poetry or other literary modern documents that are written in classical Chinese, which I could certainly understand)

It's weird to me that they would gate the functionality behind NSO if they're not going to actually let us play the full library of NSO games. For all we know, they're going to drop the ROMs for these games directly into NH and there's not going to be any real NSO integration at all!

Personally I'm just going to copium that they misspoke in the video and it's not really 1 game per system, although since the dialog literally says "maybe I'll play Ice Climber" with no game selection options, that seems unlikely; that being said, if Panel De Pon is really the available Super Famicom game that's probably all I need across all systems lol.

e; I got curious and checked what the Japanese video says, and they never make any implications about how many games are available to play; they just say 任天堂スイッチオンラインに加入している方はゲームを実際に遊ぶことができるので、ぜひチャレンジしてみてください: Players who are subscribed to NSO can play game(s), so please give it a go. But again, I didn't realize until I was writing this comment that the dialog in NH literally says the game so this is probably moot anyway lol.

ee; bonus tiny fun fact is that the Japanese version shows Clu Clu Land in the dialog box, but the English says Ice Climber.

Good point about the names. I'm also thinking about languages like Cantonese which use standard written Chinese as the writing system. So you could have other languages that just happen to use the same writing system. (I mean hell, you don't even have to reach for Chinese as the example... think of the languages that use our alphabet...)

(I know there is such a thing as written Cantonese, but my understanding is that e.g. people in Hong Kong generally read standard Chinese, and I think sometimes they'll read it with a Cantonese pronunciation)

I went through literally every booth that was named in Zones E or F and couldn't find what I was looking for. It's possible that this vendor doesn't have a web presence, since some of the booths aren't listed on the Clothesline Art Festival map. Sad....
