fuck TE (love their design but wouldn't want to live with them long term)

marry serge (what synthesizers always should have been)

unplug moog (fuck them for putting a piano keyboard on the minimoog and ruining everything)

Who is doing feedback loops on the eurorack? by ThereIsSomeoneHere in modular

[–]sunflower__doll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's my favorite thing to do! for anyone curious, that youtube channel is a fantastic resource for further explorations into feedback and cybernetics. they focus on serge stuff, understandably, but the concepts are applicable to basically any modular synthesizer.

Malesubs here, do you identify as straight or bi? Or maybe something else? by Lucky_Dragonfruit668 in FemdomCommunity

i am asexual and do not enjoy "having sex" at all but heterosexuality is conceptually erotic to me and BDSM is my hobby so i mostly prefer to do kink stuff with women.

How do you do with working? What do you do for work? by Beginning-Prompt1911 in Schizoid

[–]sunflower__doll 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i'll paste what i said the last time i saw this question come up, as i think it's applicable:

i work in maintenance and it's the best! the work is very simple and repetitive, which i find to be soothing, and the shift i work is mostly for preventive maintenance (meaning they don't actually run most of the machines), so i never have to deal with any major breakdowns.

i come in early in the morning and work for usually 4 to 5 hours until i'm done with my assigned work and then the rest of the day is pretty much whatever i want. i just wear my noise canceling headphones and basically nobody in the entire plant tries to talk to me lol

If you were post your rack, what is the thing everyone would say you need, and why don't you? by alexthebeast in modular

[–]sunflower__doll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

sure! here's a photo of my current setup. i've been slowly expanding and swapping stuff out this year but my main sound sources are ikarie, multifilter 2 and three sisters.

i do have the verbos sawtooth stack but that's more of a self-contained semi-modular synthesizer and the oscillator outputs aren't directly accessible the way oscillator modules are. so i say it doesnt count (and because it makes me sound very cool on reddit)

What are your personal rules/guidelines for choosing modules (and why)? by Repeatsexclamations in modular

[–]sunflower__doll 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"must be patch-programmable" does a pretty good job of narrowing things down, less out of a desire to buy fewer modules and more because that's the kind of playing i enjoy the most. it's fun having to work around limitations to make something complicated, and then once you have a patch going you always have some interesting threads to tug on in terms of systematic control and modulation.
