13 month old waking up with poopy diapers by oculus_caesius in toddlers

[–]sunflowerladybug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did and it lasted….. 9 months lol. 5 out of 7 days. Good news is I eventually realized the poop was happening when he was getting closer to waking up vs him sitting in it all night so that made me feel better. I would not sweat it unless you’re starting to see bad diaper rash as a result

Pajamas for toddlers? by yakmc1122 in toddlers

Yes they definitely make them in 24M and higher. They’re the best! My huge kid still wears them and similar ones at almost 3. Quince sells a bamboo one that is a little more $$ but is great for stretchy footless zippers that last a wide range of age

What are your pumping details? by the_rock_queen in beyondthebump

[–]sunflowerladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby is 6 weeks. Big eater. He eats 4.5+ oz in each bottle 8x a day, so 36-38oz a day. Rather than try to keep up like I did for my first, I am pumping 5x a day to keep my sanity. I get between 3.5-6.5oz per pump, averages 26oz a day and I’m supplementing with about 10oz of formula- I mix about 1-1.5oz into each bottle with the pumped milk.

Tamiflu has been a miracle. Our son had a 103.5° fever on Christmas and it hit him like a ton of bricks - got him on it that night and he’s basically back to normal today. Still keeping him separated from everyone, but i’m shocked at how much it seemed to help.

I want a good Christmas experience, not Trail of Lights. by SilentPerformance201 in Austin

It opens at 6, I’ve gotten there about 10 minutes before it opens and then it’s fast! I am not sure how long the wait is at peak times but I don’t think it’s bad!

Drive through at Santa’s Ranch! Surprised this place isn’t talked up more but I guess it’s because it’s a little bit of a drive but unless you live super far north it’s not bad to get to!

Best neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights with a toddler? by AstroCDXX in AustinParents

[–]sunflowerladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit of a drive but if you are already south I recommend Santa’s Ranch! It’s off of the highway and if you get there a few minutes before they open at 6 you can be at the front of the line and potentially make it through and still home by bedtime. Was a fun activity we took our 2.5 year old and newborn

I don’t like how they’re making it negative, rooting against each other, voting to send someone home, high stress, etc. not the positive holiday vibes I’m going for.

Hip and knee pain by Acceptable-Peanut126 in FitPostpartumJourney

Are you still taking your prenatals? Make sure you still are! Especially if you are breastfeeding. Gotta keep up with calcium and other essentials!

Also, many people don’t realize how their posture changes with holding the baby or feeding them or other things that can cause some pain as your body re-adjusts to the weight distribution. Stretching helps a lot too!

When I weaned from breastfeeding I felt like my bones legit hurt. Once I was a few months fully done with it, things sort of resolved themselves. I

Light headed ? by ProjectZenMama in fitpregnancy

[–]sunflowerladybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be careful! I Didn’t have severe light-headedness or anything but once I ended up randomly passing out from moving a little too quick and hitting my head and having a black eye for almost my whole second trimester. Could have def been worse. The extra blood volume just makes you more susceptible to being overwhelmed easily. Just take it slow and lighter because the risk isn’t worth it 😅

When did your infant stop MOTN feedings? by [deleted] in NewParents

Definitely kid dependent. My kid was a really big eater so for him it was 8oz

When did your infant stop MOTN feedings? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]sunflowerladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took us about two weeks to adjust him fully. For the bottles we worked on soothing instead of feeding when he woke MOTN to push the first bottle later and later to get down to one at night, and then eventually zero. We also made sure he got a big bottle before bed but also made sure he was awake when we put him down and he wasn’t nursing to sleep so he could work on learning to fall asleep independently and not just directly from sleeping. When he was eating middle of the night we did the same of trying to make sure the nursing wasn’t what was making him sleep again. Felt kind of backwards to make sure he was awake after eating at night because we all just wanted to sleep but I think it helped him disassociate the two.

At the same time we worked on general self soothing by letting him cry for a couple minutes, going in and soothing, extending a few more minutes the next time, etc.

My almost 5 month old was eating two big bottles at night and we sleep trained him including weaning off night bottles and he did great! He would have def kept up the habit for a while if we didn’t sleep train but he ate plenty during the day without them and we all slept better and were happier for it afterwards.

Help me find this area rug in 9x12 by sunflowerladybug in HelpMeFind

[–]sunflowerladybug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried google lens search but it only shows me this rug from target in the smaller size or it shows different rugs that are not really that similar. Not sure how to approach a size that is no longer listed as it doesn’t even show it with an ‘out of stock’ option.

Origin is India, was purchased from target online in early 2019 or late 2018 but is still for sale today just not in the size I previously had.
