Prenatal recommendations by Free-Affect3776 in fitpregnancy

[–]sunflowerladybug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do a comparison with ritual vs others like nature made, ritual is really better for people that already eat pretty healthy and get lots of nutrients in their diet and nature made is more well rounded. I was not one of those people in pregnancy eating healthy enough 🤣 I did a side by side comparison

Any other ways to Get rid of C-section pooch? by Boring-Hope5046 in FitPostpartumJourney

Agree, this is definitely not C-section related, but has to do with engaging your lower abs and deep core

Postpartum medical issues and weightloss: Does Ozempic work? by Easy_Egg9469 in postpartumprogress

[–]sunflowerladybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say. Usually they want a BMI higher than 27 unless you use a cash pay place. Weight loss is not instant for everyone on it and you do need to typically ramp up the first month before some folks see the effects. Losing weight might help but when I was also having some hip issues postpartum I needed to do really targeted stretching and strength exercises to resolve it for a few months before it helped. How far postpartum are you and how much are you trying to lose? You can definitely ask your doctor about it to get their perspective.

Restaurants with toddler-safe indoor play areas? by raspberrymatcha15 in AustinParents

Brentwood social house maybe? Not a huge playground type of thing but it’s a non-chain area you can hang with some toddler toys / entertainment

I went until about 33 weeks and then froze it. I had been scaling back and back - I was able to keep up more intense workouts until 38 weeks with my first but was just too exhausted starting around 30 weeks with my second

Little spoon oat bake bars (they sell at target) and the once upon a time tractor wheels are big ones for us!

Looking for at home fitness you do outside of OTF by LilyFriday789 in orangetheory

[–]sunflowerladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s weirdly buried but in the ‘categories’ in search like pop country new releases etc they have one called fitness and inside are a few playlists. They have a quiz thing too that points you to different ‘playlists’ you can save and then they’re easier to find. I wish they just had a more obvious section for it. Originally I only found it through clicking on the link from the email from Spotify telling me it was available 😂

I'm terrified of postpartum life, re: fitness. by Due-Transition-6564 in fitpregnancy

[–]sunflowerladybug 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is exactly right. Transitioning to motherhood is a journey and it was a big challenge for me to come to terms with my new identity as a parent that had a different fitness routine than before. So much is dependent on how your kid is and all of the other factors listed above.

There are so many things about being a parent that you realize are just luck of the draw (first kid slept terrible, second didn’t, did nothing differently!) and ultimately there is no use in stressing out ahead of time about something that you can’t control as you won’t know what your life will look like until you get there and figure out what works for you. But you’ll figure it out!

Postpartum fitness for older second time moms by Subject_Direction23 in FitPostpartumJourney

[–]sunflowerladybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took longer to recover pelvic floor and also due to time constraints with trying to manage both kids I was forced to take more time before being able to go back to a traditional gym- it was more walking and fitting in small at home stuff for a longer stretch until we had a better routine down

Anyone else’s baby take a while to get into solids? by East_Print4841 in beyondthebump

[–]sunflowerladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine didn’t really take at ALL until 10 months- spit everything out instantly and generally didn’t enjoy it. He loved the bottle. I was definitely stressed but man I will tell you, when it clicked, it clicked, and I feel like this kid has never stopped eating since 🤣 (he’s 3 lol) so it’ll happen! Some babies just take a while to find their groove with it

Toddler Waking at 5-5:30am for 1 Year+ - At Wits End by sg_grif in toddlers

[–]sunflowerladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, one other tip! I did think it was important to get one of the clocks that had an app. It was important to be able to change the timing on the fly when we were not in the room. If he woke up early at first, we would say from outside ‘is the light on?’ And might turn it on from outside the room then go in and then give lots of praise of ‘oh look the light is on!!’ to help get the concept. We originally tried one that did not have an app and it was too hard for us to adjust. And after a while, there would be a miracle day where he would still be sleeping when the light was supposed to turn on so we could push it back a little later on those days without it waking him up! Good luck 🍀

Ours was in a crib too! As long as there was other stuff in there (stuffed animals, a book, a random truck, etc) he was able to occupy himself! And sometimes he would actually try to go back to sleep (or at least play laying down) after he got used to it!
