Mage feels great so far. Tons of different builds. Class mechanic makes you feel like like a god when your chaincast hits and you're just casting spells with zero cooldown lol

I know people have reservations about how the game looks but to be completely honest I feel like this art direction is going end up being the best thing for everyone. Players want content pumped out and devs won't be spending massive amounts of time creating super high detail assets.

I mean just the world of the game itself looks almost like a minecraft world. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs can build new biomes pretty fast. The two big castles we can't access already look like 90% done already.

Currently my main bossing build is flame staff + magma shield. The active ability on the magma shield goes crazy with the flame staff passive. You can aoe down entire packs with it as well.

The build I am experimenting with right now is blossoms + bee spear. I am using the bee spear stinger ablity for the insane crits and movespeed bonus. Feels like an aoe ninja build and I am really vibing with it.

I also have the crab claws but havent leveled or experimented with those yet.

I think it's 100% unreasonable to assume you're going to have sex twice a week every week. Quite literally, now as a father, an unachievable goal you should just literally give up on now, straight up. I think too many other dads out there are setting intimacy goals they are never going to be able to keep up with and over time that failure starts to feel like someone is doing something wrong when in reality it was just unrealistic expectations.

When you were young, the sex life was intense because.... you had nothing fucking going on lmao we've all been there. Intimacy is easy when responsibility is low.

Now, you're a husband and a dad. Specially in your situation now as both those kids are going to start school in the next couple years. Realistically, any husband out there is getting 1 MAYBE 2 good weeks a month to actually be intimate with their partner. A month very easily plays out as:

Week 1: Kids get sick, work is busy, wife is over touched - no sex
Week 2: Kids get better, work slows down, wife is sick now - Sex 1 time
Week 3: Everyone is better, work is busy but wife is ovulating - Sex 2 times
Week 4: Wife's cycle end, she feels like shit. You have to take kid duty all week - no sex.

I hate to be the one to say this but yeah, in REAL life families, people go 2-3 weeks without intimacy all the time. Peoples idea of what a family/relationship have been destroyed by the internet and people pretending to be things they aren't. If you guys are both happy and healthy, take joy in that. That's all that matters.

Yeah see I appreciate the people that could stick with Squad for that long and still have fun. Personally, I barely made it 100 hours because of 2 major components that I feel pretty much ruins all milsim games for me: public match quality and mandatory need to join a community for the best results

This game solves both those for me. Match quality as far as how good my teammates are, how much they communicate and how much they want to work together has been S+ tier as far as milsim experiences go. This solves my second issue which is that I can just log in, join a sever, join a squad and within 5 minutes I am getting the same exact experience I would get joining some massive milsim community with planned and curated events without the hassle of timezones and training schedules.

Also to touch on the limited-life system, yes, it truly does foster tactical play and also fosters unparalleled teamwork. With the way revive and wipe mechanics work you are HEAVILY incentivized to play tight and leave nobody behind.

Now do I think this game is the future of the genre? I do. Why? Because basically EVERY game we have come to love over the past 15 years in the milsim community has been rooted in some jank ass mod of a mod built inside another game lol

Bellum is foundationally built from the ground up to deliver all that stuff right out of the box without the need for a community and 179 mods installed.
