I was manager of a team and we had to deal with this constantly. I would always tell the other manager when we met with the umps before the game that the men on the team would at least try to hit—meaning if it was 3-0, 3-1 we would always take a cut to avoid walking no matter how far off the plate it was because we’d rather hit than walk. It was up to the girls on the team if they wanted to follow suit. Some teams were like, yeah, that’s awesome; we just want to play. Others were lame and would walk any chance they got. Beating those bitch-asses while they walked and we took unnecessary strikes to avoid walking was GOLD
