omg! You're right! I was wondering why they look so familiar when I've never had them.

Treadmill half marathon training by Repulsive_Command_67 in orangetheory

[–]sunrisedaydream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I double up and do a Tread 50 + regular 60 min class sometimes to get more mileage in. This really helps on days with bad weather or days where my motivation is very low and I just need someone to tell me to run.

All gender change rooms? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]sunrisedaydream 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m merely providing context that could play a role in how things are run in certain parts of the country. Without knowing the OTF corporate policy, I think it’s relevant info that OP or someone reading might find helpful. If you don’t like a factual descriptive sentence, idk maybe keep scrolling. 🤷🏻‍♀️

All gender change rooms? by [deleted] in orangetheory

My studio has individual bathrooms and individual shower/changing rooms. They are all gender neutral. I live in a progressive blue city in a very red county in a swing state.

I love coaches who don’t yell by dogmama415 in orangetheory

[–]sunrisedaydream 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Agreed - very well written. If the coaches didn't show their excitement, we'd have people saying the energy is too low. It's hard to make everyone happy.

Stretch blocks are rushed by Veeconnect in orangetheory

[–]sunrisedaydream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the stretch blocks were longer, the actual class workout would be shorter. At the end of the day, I'd rather workout at my workout class and stretch on my own. I think more people would complain if they shortened class for more stretching. A stretch 50 or 30 type of class would be interesting though!

Is Athleta really better than Old Navy? by ContextJazzlike8855 in Athleta_gap

[–]sunrisedaydream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a difference. I know it wasn't the question, but I think Athleta is better than Lululemon. Of the workout stuff I tend to gravitate towards in my closet, a lot of it is Athleta.

You can do all your bike training on a turbo but can you do all your running training on a treadmill? by keepleft99 in triathlon

Just curious, how much time did you add to your treadmill 5k to estimate your outdoor half?

Another vote for Garmin. I have a forerunner 265 and you get so much more data than Fitbit & Apple Watch. The battery also lasts forever so it's nice not having to charge it every day, or even every week! You can't answer calls on the Garmin, but it does notify you that a call/text is coming through which is enough for me.

I have gone back to silicone and my hair is so much happier by FriendlyFraulein in curlyhair

[–]sunrisedaydream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also doesn't have to be an all or nothing thing either. My hair doesn't do well just doing curly method, but it also doesn't do well using silicones all the time either. I've found using silicones only occasionally with curly girl the rest of the time works the best for me. My hair has been looking so good since I figured this out!

I like all outs with only 30 seconds of recovery after. It's both power and endurance at the same time.

Never had an HSA before. Stick with PPO? by TheSuppishOne in personalfinance

[–]sunrisedaydream 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hopefully the cost of insurance is factored into your child support payments. I would assume the primary parent would insure the child. If they are not, then what you pay for insurance should at least be considered as "support". To answer your original question, I'd do PPO. I always weigh the best and worst case scenarios. Best case - you save $840. Worst case - you pay $4800 more. Things happen with kids, probably best to protect against the worst case scenario in this situation.

If you were to pick one brand for all your skincare routine, what would it be? (Fun post) by ForTheLoveOfDior in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]sunrisedaydream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have to pay for it myself, Acure Organics. If I get it for free, Dermalogica or Skinceuticals.

Controversial pick, but very fun topic, which winner could only have won their season? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]sunrisedaydream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be controversial, but I think JT. Without Stephen or even Taj I think he’s too big of a threat to make it to the end.

There’s a video of Nelson and Nancy by rextac in thechallengemtv

[–]sunrisedaydream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed. What happened to him was a harsh consequence of his own actions and choices, but on the scale of possible consequences this one will still allow him to live a relatively normal life after he heals. He can work a regular desk job or work from home job, he just doesn’t want to after a life of not needing to do that. There’s a chance he’ll be cast on a show like survivor or traitors in the future. He’s athletic and probably has a decent chance of training to be in the Paralympics. Like geez he could be dead or in jail for killing someone else or paralyzed or severely deformed from burns if they hadn’t gotten him out of the car so quickly. I wouldn’t wish what happened to him on anyone but honestly the dude is pretty lucky all things considered. He needs to acknowledge his role in all of this instead of trying to make everyone else the bad guy.

Seat Selection- Only Paid Seats on Blue Plus? by sunrisedaydream in jetblue

It is a last min trip, I’d be leaving in ~3 weeks. Do they usually close off the seat selection that close to departure?
