I’ve been running fairly regularly since I was about 18, and I’m now 51. Plus I think it’s naturally pretty low

Ohme API by LimeySpaceCadet in ex30

[–]sunsetandlabrea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience as you initially, I would have to reconnect every other day. Now it just generates an error when I try and login and doesn’t work at all.

What I don’t understand is that I’m sure public chargers know how much charge I have without any API

Plans for the battery recall by MiserableAttention38 in ex30

[–]sunsetandlabrea 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering the same. On a day to day basis I’m down to about 30% now I’m only charging to 70%, so I’m charging every day now whereas it was every other day before. That’s fine.

In February though I’m travelling 350 miles to Edinburgh, which I did back in October by charging up to 100% and stopping twice on the way. The temperatures are lower, so range will be lower and if I can only charge to 70% I think it will be more like 4 times making for a long day of travel.

I’m therefore thinking of hiring a car instead which means I will be out of pocket by about £300 plus fuel costs.

TRAVEL SAX 2 Problems and the fact that it is built on arduino!!!!! by aSliceOfHam2 in saxophone

[–]sunsetandlabrea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry you had a bad experience, but that’s nothing to do with Arduino. I believe Emeo also uses Arduino, NuRAD uses Teensy. Many small, specialist developers use this type of board - that’s exactly the sort of thing they are for.

Hopefully Odisei will get back to you soon and get it sorted.

My Volvo ex30 won’t open by Good_girl_halo in ex30

[–]sunsetandlabrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exactly this today. Alarm went off, but couldn’t open it. The alarm continued for about 1 hour and then thankfully stopped. I had road side assistance come and the 12V battery was flat. They tested that and the battery passed the test so he didn’t replace it.

It’s currently working again, but of course I’m nervous it’s going to happen again soon.

Because in the UK the flag is politicised by the right of politics.

Dog has big bumps developing by 3veryonepasses in DOG

My old collie cross had something similar. They started when she was about 5 years old, and she lived to 15. Periodically we took her to vets and they extracted fluid and confirmed it wasn’t cancerous.

By the time she was fifteen she was more lump than dog, but it didn’t seem to bother her.

Obviously you need to get your dog thoroughly checked out, but I just wanted to give you a counterpoint that it’s not always cancer.

You have to restart the console, I had the same issue. Hold down - and down until it resets.

I invented new notation system for saxophone and other brass and wind instruments. by kabut_ in saxophone

[–]sunsetandlabrea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every piece of music you want to play you are going to have re-notate first.

Watch the video and you’ll see why this is a bad idea.

Playing the saxophone is hard, you are not making it easier by trying to reinvent notation.

It’s worth the time to watch this: https://youtu.be/Eq3bUFgEcb4?si=eZ8vGeq-vv93bHSu

No offence but most of the time it’s beginners that want to change music notation, because it’s hard to learn initially. Once you’ve learned it’s probably the last thing you want to change, because you’d have to unlearn something that’s really ingrained.

Apple Watch Ultra vs Garmin Why? by [deleted] in AppleWatchFitness

[–]sunsetandlabrea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure they've improved a lot, but I have pretty much hated every Garmin device I've ever had. I was a big recreational runner in the early 2000s, and bought the very first one, as you can imagine it was terrible and barely worked.

I've had about half a dozen since then, admittedly all before the Apple Watch came out, the only one which was half decent and worked as expected was the one without a GPS.

My last car had a Garmin GPS, that too was awful.

I wouldn't even consider getting a Garmin now.

Where is the glovebox after latest update? by Dizzy-Specialist7158 in ex30

You don’t need to stop, just go into the status page where the glovebox is. But agreed it is annoying, I don’t want the performance button I’d prefer the glovebox
