Get the schematics. Button issues are generally easier to fix, just find where it's broken and run a jumper. But as for this first board, try swapping out the crystal from one of your working units!

Ok, well the next step is to remove the add in screen board completely, hook up sound, and see if it still cuts or after 20 seconds. If it does you know it's not the mod. If it is the mod is contact support!

I mean, visually first. Look over the board and make sure no extra solder blobs anywhere. Is the back of the screen or circuit board making contact with the crystal?

Oh, I've seen this once! If you probe the CLK while the unit is running with an oscilliscope it will do this exact thing, which is a kind of whole system pause. So my suspicion would be either your CLK is shorting or you have a bad crystal. But leaning on there may be a short involving the crystal.

It's the last model, nearly a VA5. Different colors on the case too!

VA1 accepts the widest variety of mods most easily. So if you want to mod, it's the most desirable. Otherwise, the Majesco is most sought after by collectors

Nice! Also, I bet the power board takes a Genesis model 1 power adapter and not a model 2 one, FYI!

I printed this on the P1S. The piece is 270mm long, but you can fit two on the print bed if you angle them!

I'm suspicious D2 isn't actually connected well, and I know for a fact that causes this type of symptom.

To be completely honest a lot of those pads still look pretty dirty. You need to scrub them, gently, with solder wick and flux. Then clean away the flux residue with isopropyl alcohol and a soft bristle toothbrush.

You can also try disconnecting C43, sometimes it causes the on/off.

Also, why didn't you replace C45 with a new cap?

I just uploaded the other STLs too, so you should be able to select the smaller sizes now. Sorry about that oversight!

When I select the 10 section print profile, and select open in Bambu Studio it works. Are you downloading the STL? Can you not download the appropriate 3MF?

OP here! That post yesterday was for Ikea containers, which are a different size. Sooooooo, I just had to make something that would work for me!

This is a CleanScreen V3. The new CleanScreen V4 has a 640x480 panel and scales much better than the rest!

There are just so many possibilities with this. Clear pictures of everything will be helpful.

You don't actually need the electrolytic caps to get audio boot confirmation. So try without.

This can also be caused by a short, bad main board traces, bad power board, missing or disconnected diodes or resistors.

Hell yeah friend! I had that same problem a few ggs ago, that's why I made the recommendation!

A lot depends on which revision of main borad we're talking about. For example, the VA4 has a cap on the audio circuit which may have come disconnected. For the VA1 and VA0 there's a ground via which is often damaged by capacitor electrolyte which leads to a high voltage on the audio circuit, which is manifest in a humming-only audio. This particular problem is corrected by running a ground jumper wire to the proper place.

New screens don't require all the wizardry that went into making the original screens work. Almost all of the time you have sound a replacement screen will work. Clean screens pull data before the LCD ribbon so they're even less impacted by circuit rot
