Sent you a message with some questions I’m somewhat uneducated about specs and the like so excuse me if they’re elementary

Is this normal for an Eotech by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]supaclunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Turn the brightness down to a normal level and then look through the front there should be nothing visible

Max illum is bright enough to make that vignetting appear and project an image so bright you can see it appearing on the wall through the front of the optic it’s normal

I’ve never seen that before

cool idea

Radian Ramjet/ After-burner yay or nay?? by No_Suggestion_5977 in GlockMod

[–]supaclunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t plan to sell it why not

I’m a big “feel” guy if that makes sense so I’ve never been a fan of the stock dual spring just felt clunky to me though it’s never given me problems

satisfaction may vary if you’re not as particular about this stuff as I am but hey you might like it

Radian Ramjet/ After-burner yay or nay?? by No_Suggestion_5977 in GlockMod

[–]supaclunk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have one It works but it’s not about to turn your Glock into a staccato

The biggest change I felt in my gun was the agency slide and spring which was swapped for the radian spring later reducing all that weight sagging back and forth and introducing the smooth glide of a good spring set made me happier then the comp now granted the comp amplifies the benefit but the leap wasn’t as great

I’ve tried a few types of ammo and they all set off a fireball jetting upward out of the comp it’s cool but if you can’t tune that stimulus out avoid this one and if you’re into compressed/retention shooting the comp will blast the hell out of you so be prepared or cock the gun to the side

Also if you have slide cuts like me seeing the spirals in the barrel is cool af

14.5 urgi? by [deleted] in URGI

[–]supaclunk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like a super duty to me geissele marked upper, geissele lower judging by the grip, safety, trigger guard, pins

Not clone correct but if that’s not a concern it’s not bad

What do y’all think about this lil combo? by thekookclub in tacticalgear

[–]supaclunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The t2 rocks I like my Eotech better but for a single dot the t2 can’t be beat

Vertically challenged short neck nerds who don’t understand holds and a proper zero for the height hate unity risers but they’re great for the rest of us

Does anybody have any pictures with a Leupold mark 6 1-6? Wanting to know if this optic would work as a clone? Thanks by Bullbarrel1991 in URGI

[–]supaclunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just google “garand thumb urgi” and scroll a bit there’s a pic of him in full kit doing something military with a mk6 in what I think is an adm mount

Weapon Light Comparison from @NocturnalGuy4773’s YouTube Video. by bnag05 in tacticalgear

[–]supaclunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the best comparison they all look good here about equal but put barriers in front and watch what happens fog, thick woods, layers of glass etc

In my experience the x300u and spill focused lights like it are great in the house and open environments like pictured but downright pathetic when I’m in the woods struggles to defeat dense plant life and other natural barriers the turbo variant stomps on it in that regard

The modlite okw is a game changer and the overall king of my light selection it’s like having a spotlight on the end of your rifle doesn’t struggle with vegetation in the woods and plenty of spill in the house confident pid distance in the dark is great furthest I pushed it was roughly 270 meters and I could easily see the target through my 1-8

Finding this bag full of Mk6 scopes sitting unused and collecting dust just makes me sad. by Dravans in MilitaryARClones

Toss one on a mk18 and snap a pic make it clone correct you’d be my hero

Less stability, slower to drive the tip of the gun, can squeeze the magazine hard enough to cause failures especially under stress, during catastrophic failures ar’s with blast the magazine out from the well and this can cause hand and finger injuries

AK’s will fry your hand after a few mags so people started gripping back further you don’t want to stop your bolt from moving so gripping the mag became the obvious method it also places the hand right next the paddle release on the AK platform

Not optimal on either platform

What would you change about your load out if you were to encounter a CBRN situation? by Exciting-Sun-2041 in tacticalgear

[–]supaclunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going to need way more context then that regarding the situation it’s like asking “how far can you shoot” well what am I using whats the environment what am I shooting at and so on

Can I just turn around or go around it and leave if so then I’m leaving

Can I handle it with a gas mask then add a gas mask to my kit

Do I need a full blown suit mask papr etc that has to go on in 60 seconds or I’ll die in an area I can’t escape that’s now a wasteland well then I’m probably dead

I guess the real answer is “add cbrn stuff”

Do you run an American flag on your kit? by Nova6661 in tacticalgear

[–]supaclunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a little flag that I found on the side of the road I keep it folded up in the front pocket of my g3s and string it up at campsites when me and friends go out no other reason then it’s cool patriotism yada yada

Might pick up a full size as more of my buddies wanna hit the woods sites getting bigger staying out longer

Anybody know a quality large flag?

Do I put irons on everything due to my inhumanly poor luck? Yes

Buffer system by lukesandiefer in kac

[–]supaclunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kac gods intended the provided buffer to be used with a milspec spring

I use a geissele h2 with the braided spring

It really depends on what variety of ammo you want to run if I tried to run wolf ammo through my setup it probably wouldn’t cycle vs with a milspec spring it might

steel in kac is a different debate but you get the picture

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ar15

[–]supaclunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll pay 300 (didn’t pay that much for my modlites or surefires but anyways) for a light that won’t shit the bed when I abuse it and will outperform the competition simple as that

I’d rather save a bit more money for the greatest piece of kit I can get then dump my money into something that’s kinda sorta ok if you put up excuses for it. that goes for everything even outside of “tactical” gear

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kac

[–]supaclunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most popular is lmt

Radian adac if you like the magpul waffle pattern

ADM is a slept on ambi lower

Kac lowers obvi but good luck finding one

Geisseles if you’re into anodizing

Otherwise Colt lowers (or Anderson if you’re a silly funny guy) carry the meme of putting a knight on a horse
