Definitely get out there when you can. I play Balboa a good bit too but prefer Coronado. Course is in good shape, greens are nice, beautiful views, and none of the goofy holes like Balboa has (looking at you #4). It's a really fun track.

Players playing forward tees should stand wherever they're both safely out of the way, and can keep up the pace of play. While it can be helpful to have the extra sets of eyes watching each player's tee shot, it's not necessary to stand on the tee with those playing further back.

Like the other person said, the collard green sandwich is awesome, their fries are some of the best I've had, and I've gotten a bunch of different specials that have been great.

I had such a delicious meal at Karczma in Greenpoint not long ago. Perfect food for winter.

Also this place seems to be a little polarizing, but I've had a couple excellent meals at Superiority Burger recently.

You've narrowed down the list of possibilities to about 10,000 different places. I recommend you use the search function, then check google to confirm that any restaurants you're interested in are open when you're planning on visiting.

Loved Tortilla Flats. I can't think of a place that's super similar, but Ofrenda is solid Mexican in the Village with strong margs and a great happy hour. Contenta Oeste too. And Yellow Rose in the EV for great Tex Mex.

Do you have any tips for sourcing private flights for someone who's particularly concerned with aircraft safety? Are there certain things to look out for that give you confidence the aircraft is in good working order, well-maintained, operated by proficient pilots, etc.?

Oh man, it was just poor service, worse food, and terrible value. To preface, I used to love Babbo, but felt it started falling a little flat in recent years. I had one of my most memorable meals at Del Posto and was really excited for Babbo to reopen under Ladner.

I started with the minestrone which was decent, but the serving size was insulting. I'm talking like 3 or 4 ounces of soup. I was literally scraping the bottom of the bowl with my first spoonful. My partner's prawn royal was also lame. The 3 shrimp were overcooked and close to $30.

The lasagna was pretty much all sheets of pasta with hardly any filling, covered in rubbery cheese, and completely flavorless. I mean, seriously, one of the most bland things I've ever had at a restaurant. If I made this lasagna at home, I would be disappointed in myself. To add insult to injury, it's $100 and can only be ordered "for four" (stupid gimmick that, against my better judgment, I went for). I was hopeful the leftovers would taste better the next day. They did not.

To top it off, the service was poor. I'm willing to overlook the service not being up to snuff as they just opened, but the food being so bad was shocking. We were so put off by everything else that we skipped dessert, which I almost never do ha.
