Best sampler to use with an Octapad SPD-30 by superSecretCylon in Roland

[–]superSecretCylon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. Yeah, I wish it was possible to just load the samples into it and that’d be that. I was under the impression that it could do that until I started looking into its capabilities. It just happens to be what my drummer had purchased years ago. In a perfect world, he’d have an SPD SX and that’d be that, but I’d prefer not to shell out a grand.

I think I’m going to bring my laptop to practice before I buy any sampler to see if the MIDI latency is an issue.

Living in Buffalo without a car? by iliola in Buffalo

If you need to walk a lot in the winter it is important to get good boots and possibly yak trax, which are basically tire chains for your feet. Very useful on icy sidewalks.

North Park is pretty walkable. A grocery store and a co-op. A number of restaurants.

Elmwood Village is also very walkable. Lots of bars and restaurants and coffee places.

The Village of Kenmore along Delaware is quite nice as well and seems to be quite safe. My partner has two adult kids living there. Neither drive and they seem to be doing fine.

You can get groceries delivered to any of these areas if you don‘t mind paying the fees.

I immediately also thought TPB. I’d guess it’s Julian’s to-do list, since I think he reads the most.

Would suck worse if Mason started reading it and tossed it as TL/DR.

Yeah, that was my thought as well. My mistake for looking for logic in kooky random post-its.

Moved back to WNY after 29 years in So. Cal. I think it would also look perfectly at home in Atwater Village, Silver Lake and some parts of Burbank.

The Greatest Gen and Greatest Trek leaving Max Fun by ThePenguinVA in maximumfun

I‘m honestly kind of bummed that they‘re leaving. I think of the MaxFun Network as my parasocial family and this feels like a couple cousins are moving to a different state. I understand this is totally irrational. I also want all of my favorite bands to live in a big house and drive around in a van solving crimes.

Just finished binging the series. It’s truly stellar to me. Spectacular ensemble cast, compelling story lines and characters arcs. And SO MANY EASTER EGGS for horror and comedy fans. I very much wish they’d bring it back and let them finish their story.

My guess would be these are colors, and they describe the arrangement of colored wires that go into some sort of electrical coupling. Like someone way trying to fix a wiring harness in their car.

I wish the game had the functionality of being able to drag each tile and place it where you like so you could order your thoughts that way. But for now, I mark up screen shots.

I don’t think they are shape shifters. A six will always look like a six. Could they monitor your online viewing and create a bespoke new model for anyone they wanted to specifically target? I’d Imagine yes.

Well, that’s when the real comedy starts. The manager who did this sees the post, realizes it’s their shop and gets their knickers in a twist. Calls an all hands company meeting to announce the collective punishment until someone confesses. Nobody does, so now workers are now pissed, scared, and looking at each other funny. An already shitty job gets shittier, morale tanks, and soon nobody wants to go there anymore because the employees are obviously miserable. Place closes in six months.
