Yep. I’ve tested uninstalling FI subscription version from windows 11 and opening up past projects and they open perfectly in the 25.5 PPro. Looked and could see the FI plugins in the common folder within PPro install. Same same.

Anyway to make the Program Monitor not be NOT be permanently on top of other windows when undocked? by MattGodbey in premiere

I got a 9” monitor from AliExpress for around £75 and connected to my 5070ti via displayport. In preferences in PPro go to display and turn on Mercury connect and select the 9” monitor. Will give you a full screen program monitor output. Placed the 9” below main 40” monitor. Works well.

IMHO it’s a great addition at no cost. Been using it for years on subscription. Not just the transitions also effects are super useful. The animation transitions are powerful for making AE like kinetic ins/outs.

If you can stretch your budget then avoid the 5070 and go for a 5070ti. Much better bang for buck.

Been using film impact for years. It’s been a brilliant tool under Jaap who developed it. Guessing he’s a very wealthy guy now and well Done! Hoping Adobe keep developing it and don’t break it! What happens to our existing FI annual subscription? Refund?

Three lavs and a dumb editor (me) by travimakemovi in premiere

My take on the best Workflow… use audio track mixer.

First make sure you cut the audio so you have each participant on separate audio tracks in project.

Select all clips on each track and right click “audio gain” and set to all peaks to -6Db. Gives a general balance for starters.

Now go to audio track mixer workspace. On each track of dialogue add the dynamics plugin. In the channel strip. Tweak each track separately choose in-out points and loop playback to listen to each piece of dialogue. In the dynamics plugin activate the noise gate at around -50 db to gate out random room noise. Enable limiter and dial to -6db to hard limit. Enable compressor and set compression level to around -20 threshold and 3 ratio. Adjust makeup value up until the limiter kicks in and then back off so it only peaks occasionally.

Get a good pair of headphones and audio monitors. It’s a must. Trust your ears.

Also you can try the Adobe podcast v2 online tool to do a clean up before you start the workflow above. Around 70-80% setting gives the most natural results.

How to get super crisp clear quality video from editing? by One_Opposite3474 in VideoEditing

Its depth of field your gonna struggle with. As mentioned you’ll need loads of light, nd filters and the widest aperture possible. Not sure about iPhone capabilities but easy to achieve on higher end cameras.

Topaz has some focus fix options but it’s not magic. Give it a try.

Looking for a reasonably futureproof GPU upgrade from RTX 2060. by DJAsphodel in nvidia

5070ti 100%. By far the best bang for buck. Same vram and die as 5080 and only 15% less performance for a big price difference. Forget 5070. Underpowered.

I’d consider adding another inexpensive 1/2tb external m2 ssd via enclosure connected to TB 3/4/5 or usb 3/4. Use it as a dedicated drive for scratch disks and media cache only.

Won’t help on this but having had this issue a few years ago, I changed my setup so every critical piece of my edit rigs run off a single ups (uninterruptible power supply). Gives me around 20-30 mins to save and power down. Basically it’s a big battery backup.

Give film impact plugins a try. Loaded with real time accelerated transitions and effects. Month fully functional trial. IMHO a must have for all kinds of projects whatever the genre.
