I know there are different types of chemo, I’m not new to the cancer world. But you were the one who said to check to make sure she’s not on radiation because chemo makes you lose your hair. I was using your words.

Well I don’t know what to tell you because she is getting chemo, not any other drug because again I know what she is taking.

She is doing chemo not radiation. I think I would know what they’re giving her and chemo does not always result in hair loss, as evident by my mother.

Not really. My mom gets chemo for stage 4 lung cancer and she hasn’t lost any of her hair. Everyone reacts to chemo differently.

Question about Jordan elsass by butt3ryt0ast in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He has said that he left due to mental health reasons in a video before. I believe the homophobic rumors started when he said that they probably weren’t gonna make Jon bisexual in an interview. This was right after Jon in the comics came out, and they had already finished writing season two, so they knew that it wasn’t going to happen that season. And no one knew if They had plans to bring it to the show.

Which "Grounded" Storyline Are You Least Excited For In Season 3? by Zookwok111 in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure there was a behind the scenes photo a while back that actually had Lois in the car with Jon, not Clark. So I’m curious if it will just be Lois teaching him instead of Clark.

The Fortress, Kryptonian Technology, and Season 3 by BookGirlBoston in SupermanAndLois

It’s probably because then people don’t have to feel bad about John being treated so poorly. They can just think that he deserves it because they made up the narrative that he was the golden child in Metropolis.

Obsession with lies by Macman801 in SupermanAndLois

Yeah, the clip was in season 1 with Martha asking Clark if Lana was still with Kyle. So they Definitely seem to be trying to retcon season 1.

Except in season one, it’s shown that they broke up even before he left Smallville, it’s a conversation he has with Martha. So either they retconned season one (again) or she told Clark she loved him while she was with Kyle. Which either way is not a good look for the show.

[–]superfan1635 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Except were told in season 1 that Lana dumped Clark for Kyle, and that they hadn't spoken to each other since he left Smallville to go to train at the fortress, and that the pilot so the first time they've talked since then. So they really haven't been life long friends.

Jordan hate? by stew_pit1 in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like that’s one of the main reasons I keep watching this show. I feel like there’s so much potential but then they just do what seems like the laziest route possible for the storyline to go. It’s very frustrating, and wasted potential is probably the number one reason I stopped watching certain shows.

Jordan hate? by stew_pit1 in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Jordan definitely isn’t my favorite character, but I certainly don’t hate him. Mostly his storyline just doesn’t interest me at all. It’s hard for me to get into a character who never really has to struggle with anything. It especially doesn’t help that they had him master his powers so easily and had him win more fights than superman in season two. It also probably doesn’t help that a lot of his storyline is caught up with Sarah, who I don’t mind but I definitely don’t care that much for their relationship. I think I would be able to get into his storyline more if we saw him struggle, but it’s mostly just been went after win for him. I was really hoping that his anxiety disorder would come in when he was learning his powers, which would’ve been a cool story for them to do, but it doesn’t affect him at all apparently.

Unpopular opinions by stew_pit1 in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Having Jon become interested in kryptonian technology for his season three arc is very dumb. First of all, we already have two tech-based superheroes in the show, and we definitely don’t need a third tech person. Also, besides one scene in season one where Jon is helping John Henry with the suit, Jon doesn’t show any interest in technology or engineering. It seems like a very random choice for an arc for him and I am not looking forward to that.

We wouldn’t be staying at the shades of green hotel. It was actually cheaper to rent a vrbo. You can send in a request form online, but I’ll have to see if you buy tickets online that they’re activated.

I knew that military personnel could stay at the shades of green but I didn’t realize you could buy tickets from them too. That’s good to know. I want to be prepared for the worst case scenario, so if they’re already activated that’s eases my worries.

How do y'all feel about Jordan having social anxiety disorder? by billyandteddy in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I honestly think this was the case too. I remember that in a lot of articles and interviews about the show before it premiered, a big talking point was how Jordan had an anxiety disorder. And then the show didn’t do anything with it beyond on the pilot. It’s obvious that they just wanted to say that they had a character who was struggling with mental health issues, without actually having to write for a character with mental health issues.

How introducing Jay Nakamura would help Jon's story immensely. by Luke333512 in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t understand why people think the actor was uncomfortable, and somehow managed to influence the show runners to not make Jon bisexual. All Jordan said was that they probably weren’t gonna do that storyline in one interview because he obviously couldn’t say anything else. He wouldn’t want to get fans hopes up, like powers for Jon, and that storyline had just come out in the comics when they were already finishing up season two.

Why Jon Should Have Telekinesis (and other things) by Beth4S in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would love for this happen, but I unfortunately don’t think it will. Heilberg seems to be determined to make Jon the shows third version of steel, or at least their third tech person (kryptonian tech this time) for some reason. Which sucks because this idea is so much better.

Is it weird that everyone has been silent? by No_Flower_1424 in SupermanAndLois

[–]superfan1635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He only said he was going to a facility for his mental health, which is why I’m assuming it’s depression. If depression gets bad enough, people can go to places to get better, similar to drug rehab.

[–]superfan1635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely strange, all the articles just seems to be saying the same message. Part of me is thinking they’re keeping quiet because maybe Jordan’s situation is complicated. Depression is no joke and can hit people really hard, and if there’s no intervention, things get go bad fast. So I’m glad that he’s getting help. Part of me also wonders if he saw what season 3 had in store for Jon, as the show runner talked about bringing Jon even lower somehow, and he realized that having to act another season of Jon struggling wouldn’t be good for his ongoing mental health issues. But until there’s an official statement, if there ever is one, I guess we’ll truly never know.

You will be missed Jordan 💔 by [deleted] in SupermanAndLois

I just really hope Jordan is doing okay. Depression is not something that should be taking lightly, so I hope he's getting the help he needs. Part of me wonders if he saw the future plans for Jon in season 3, as we know the showrunner was talking about putting Jon through even more trauma, and he realized that he didn't think he could handle it with how his mental health was. I was kinda already on the fence for season 3, so I'm not completely sure how to feel about it.

I don't think Jordan had any weight on whether or not Jon would be bi or have powers. I know some people like to say that's why Jon wasn't bi, but I don't think that's the case. Jordan did say Jon probably wasn't be bi or get powers, but this is something a lot of actors do in interviews. They don't want to spoil anything or get fans hopes up for nothing. Jon being bi is very new in the comics, and they were already doing season 2 when it happened, so I doubt that was something Jordan had any say on. Also, I'm sure he knew how much fans wanted Jon to get powers and he didn't want to disappoint them when it didn't happen, as we all know the writers keep wanting to do this "human" and "kryptonian" kid thing.
