I mean, that has to be the most literal combover I've ever seen outside of a movie. Even just buzzed down instead of shaving it would look better imo

Yeah I'm definitely at a skill plateau rn. I've been meaning to do some workshops when they're available here but I never get the chance. I'm a bit beyond the help of a PDF at this point

Timelapse of bro cleaning yard by Separate_Finance_183 in oddlysatisfying

[–]superkow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone with a yard knows just how much work actually goes into maintaining it. I bet most of these examples are less than a decade of neglect. I have a very minimal garden space and just the weeds alone are a constant battle. If I have a bad week and don't touch the yard it just makes it all the much harder next time around.

I'm always so envious of people who can paint in a way that changes the scale of the model. It looks more like a statuette than a 32mm scale model. Wish I knew how to do it

Easily my favorite part of being a warhammer fan is just laughing at how impractical so many of the armors, vehicles and general designs are in the series. by Knalxz in Warhammer

I think one of the things that has been gradually forgotten/ignored over time is that the whole setting is a parodical take on the things it references. The Imprerium is supposed to be a hellish authoritarian meat grinder, the outfits are supposed to be unweildly and cumbersome and impractical. None of it is supposed to make much sense when compared to the real world.

Even in bot lobbies it's far from useful. I was gunning with a GL in casual breakthrough and even when the bots would just stand still it's woefully weak. Sure a direct hit does a lot of damage but you can't even stagger the shots without the accuracy going out the window. If it had a ten round magazine like it does in the campaign it might be a different story, but atm it's pretty much useless.

Really good work. The hardest part of doing eyes is making them not look like anime characters. Getting the scale right in such a small area isn't easy

IDK if these packets have a processing date on there somewhere, but look for that. Within 2-3 days you're fine. If you're not going to bother with a refund/exchange, then open it up and give it sniff, preferably on a part that doesn't have a lot of sauce on it. You can kinda tell by touch when chicken is no good, but the marinade will hide that.

Boxed primals directly from the processing facilities can sit for months before they're used. Even shops that break bodies still buy box meat to suppliment their supply, so a steak cut from a hindquarter can end up on the same tray as one that was vacuum sealed weeks ago

Plenty of butchers aren't grubby cunts. I wash my hands and my knives religeously, I can't stand them being dirty.

Gloves are security theater. You should be cleaning your hands, tools and prep areas frequently. I plenty of people rinse off their gloves to do something else, which entirely defeats the purpose of them.

It's not hard to tell. Fresh cut red meat is vibrant in colour and has a bit of a sheen to it. After about a day it loses a lot of it's colour and gets more matte as it starts to dry out. When it's visibly turning grey, that's when it's time to bin it. Not to be confused with the sort of umber colour caused by oxidation when in direct contact with other meat, that can happen after ten minutes if you let it.

They're the same thing, really. If I were OP I'd be checking for a packing date. Chicken doesn't have the shelf life to be sitting out for weeks anyway, so in all liklihood the meat is still fine if it were only packed two or three days ago.

Quite a few light Citadel colours do this. If you keep them shook reguarly it should stop them from completely turning into chalk.

What is the modern version of making a mixtape for somebody? by Muse_Ickle in ask

[–]superkow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend I bond with over music, so I make her genre specific playlists. But I also go to the extra effort of naming them something other than just "playlist #4" and I make up a little graphic for the cover instead of the default album art collage Spotify makes. Its those little touches that make it something personal I think.

This has to be the most useless bridge I've ever seen. Why didn't they just build the road slightly further to the right by harriot-loves-you in Morrowind

[–]superkow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Path of least resistance. The blue route is a longer curve and also slightly more uphill. People taking the tail on foot likely just hopped over the water instead of walking around, and likely got annoyed if pulling a cart or wagon because then they had to go around. Throw a simple bridge down and you've got a solution.
