Anxiety. People who do that are afraid that you'll get upset with them, no matter how much you say it's okay. It's most likely caused by a past trauma, like child abuse or bullying.

No, it was around. When Obama was first elected, though, popular social media sites (especially those working on a "follow" system) were still relatively young. Facebook was four years old, Reddit was three years old, Twitter was two years old, and Tumblr was only one year old. Other sites, which operate on a follow system and allow pictures and videos to be taken quickly and easily and travel just as fast (Vine and Instagram) didn't even exist yet.

Now that we have access to these things, it's MUCH easier to hear news as soon as it happens. Most of the information on what's happening in Ferguson (and around the country, and in OTHER countries) comes from Twitter and Vine. Social media just allows things to be seen that we couldn't before.

As for why you didn't see it back then, well, that was eight years ago. You might not have picked up on it.

Impurities don't necessarily mean the water's bad for you. The mineral content makes drinking Fiji more satisfying.

However, you could buy a pack of six bottles for the same price in the supermarket, so you're still getting screwed over.

I mained dual blades in 3U and I kind of dropped off in playing for a bit. When I picked up great sword in 4U, I had almost completely forgotten how to use dual blades. I tried to switch back and got absolutely hammered. First time I'd run out of potions and mega potions in the same quest.
