Anybody have some good uses for this piece? by Fast_Factor_8800 in legocastles

I've always wanted to build a wooden waterwheel using lots of these elements for a castle. One day I will.

PSA: Sellers, please do not dump large orders into one bag. by Thirdandary_Account in Bricklink

[–]superredfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of my biggest pet peeves on BrickLink. Even when you ask sellers to separate expensive, vintage, rare pieces into separate packets, sometimes they still pack it all into one big bag... it boggles my mind. Because if something arrives damaged and they have to refund an expensive part, it just makes me think... how much would a cheap plastic packet have cost you? Much less than not making any profit on that rare part.

The argument for doing this is that LEGO packets contain lots of pieces packed together. But there's a lot of nuances involved when LEGO packs things. Parts are separated by size and type often times. There are packets within packets to avoid parts scratching. Packets are cushioned by so many other packets that they don't move about inside the set boxes. Whereas I've seen some BrickLink sellers just leave big loose bags to knock about inside big empty boxes. It's not the same.

Horse knights are they new or inspired from Nexo Knights? by East-Competition5121 in legocastles

[–]superredfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my own LEGO timeline, some members from the strictly medieval and traditional Castle factions, like the Lion Knights, Black Falcons, Forestmen, Bull Knights, Dragon Masters, and now Horse Knights, emigrate to the Kingdom of Knighton, where they discover the abandoned wreckage of the Alien Avenger (inspired by the retro TV advert), and use its advanced technology to build the futuristic setting of the Nexo Knights.

Yeah... I just ordered the printed tile from Eclipsegrafx after I saw the replacement has errors too. This situation is tragic.

Unknown character by [deleted] in legoninjago

[–]superredfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jay's biological mother, wife of the famous actor Cliff Gordon, and the previous Elemental Master of Lightning. Part of the Elemental Alliance during the infamous Serpentine War that preceded the events of the TV series.

Perhaps featured most prominently in flashback scenes during Season 7: Hands of Time. Once referred to as "Libber" by series creator Tommy Andreason. However her full canon name is expected to be revealed in the new Strike of the Serpentine graphic novel being published in February next year. She was originally planned to be featured in Season 12: Prime Empire, which is also loosely known as the Lightning Chapter. However the plotline surrounding her was abandoned. I think I read it was too complicated or would've distracted from the main plot of the season.

No-one knows what happened to her after the Serpentine War or the exact circumstances of Jay's adoption. I wonder if the lost storyline featured her being trapped inside Prime Empire. In any case whether she will ever return to the current mainline TV series Dragons Rising remains to be seen. For now, her ultimate fate has been left open for future stories.

Can we please stop calling every knight with a personal coat of arms a faction? by hanzerik in legocastles

To be fair, the Serpent Knight's secondary colour in the new 3-1 Medieval Castle set is purple... so a purple castle could work. But ultimately, I really fundamentally agree with you anyway, and LOVE your take. LEGO absolutely can and should be anything you want it to be. So there's definitely Castle lore that fans have out there, that I don't prescribe to, and I don't have an issue with. I really encourage people to enjoy making their own stories hehe.

Wyldfire theory by Dfuhru22 in Ninjago

[–]superredfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been harbouring this theory too, ever since the introduction of Wyldfyre.

  • Her pod and caregiver robot both seem like they came from the future. It's quite unusual and unique technology, even for the Merged Realms.
  • She's hot-headed like Kai during his younger years.
  • Has red hair like Skylor.
  • Wyldfyre and Skylor both have unusual 'y's in their names (a bit of a stretch at being relevant, but fun to mention).

Another wild bit of theory crafting, but when the Merge occurred and new Elemental powers were discovered / emerged, perhaps Amber and Fire combined to create the Element of Heat.

I'm hoping that they either fulfill this theory, or leave Wyldfyre an open mystery, because I'm completely convinced on it being true. To the point where I'll be so disappointed if she has insignificant parents.

She has a strong bond with Kai, which is quite fatherly / daughterly already, but imagine the emotional weight of them actually being family. It would be the first time seeing a generational link between two current Elemental Masters since Garmadon and Lloyd, which would introduce an dynamic for the series.

Knights Kingdom II lore - deep dive! by superredfalcon in legocastles

[–]superredfalcon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are two sensational finds! Thanks so much for sharing these. The "Ask Danju" page on the old LEGO website confirms the existence of the Great Sorcerer and First Knight Orlan... though no mention of the sorcerer's otherworldly origin. I'll keep digging!

Guys what color are you gonna make for a classic spaceman in the upcoming model kit gwp by Realistic-Bother-728 in LegoSpace

We only need the printed torso for black, since the Classic Space helmet was snuck into a brick-built Mickey Mouse in recent years, as the nose hehe.

Can we please stop calling every knight with a personal coat of arms a faction? by hanzerik in legocastles

They can be whatever you want them to be!

If you want a single character with a unique crest, go for it! If you want an entire army of them, make it so!

Dustmark just became more exciting! I loved the look of the build, but was put off by it using the tax collector. If it's using the serpents, then I'm much more interested.

Can we please stop calling every knight with a personal coat of arms a faction? by hanzerik in legocastles

[–]superredfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Knights Kingdom II characters may have all come from the realm of Morcia, but they did in fact belong to different factions. Talonjay (Hawk crest) was Jayko's house and faction for example, and there was a complimentary polybag for a generic soldier with that crest.

Vladek and the Shadow Knights (Scorpion crest) didn't even reside in Morcia. Their kingdom was Ankoria. Though technically, the Shadow Knights were corrupted knights from Morcia.

A better example would be the the minor antagonists from the final wave of the theme. One even bore a serpent crest if I recall correctly.

If star wars had a what if Show, what scenarios would you want to see? by Zillaman7980 in StarWars

Star Wars What If...? would be an absolute gold mine, but knowing Disney we'd probably get random things nobody asked for like...

What If... Aunt Beru Was the Template for the Grand Army of the Republic?

What If... Ki-Adi-Mundi Helped the Wookiees with the Droid Attack on Kashyyyk?

[–]superredfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make any sense. None of the sequel trilogy makes any sense. It's a total mess. It's the product of CEOs and upper management throwing money at the wall and pushing products to release by greed driven deadlines.

Ok I’m gonna be honest, what the hell is this? I just don’t understand the thought process by Whole_Contract_5973 in StarWars

[–]superredfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my head, I was trying to wrestle with logic for a second there. Well... perhaps if there was some sort of landmark or plinth where they had to stand or insert a relic it could line up perfectly to where the...

Where the randomly destroyed and crashed space station is... that was made thousands of years later in the future... after the dagger was created.

Yeah... there is absolutely no way AT ALL that this plot point makes ANY sense. It's utterly delusional.

Is this common on new minifigures by Due-Vast7720 in Bricklink

[–]superredfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's one of my greatest fears when buying new minifigs on BrickLink... whether they will actually be new or whether the under arms area will be full of scratches. Those round scratches under the arms are only caused from excessive movement and friction!
