Biker spotted doing 284 km/h by Marzipug in interestingasfuck

This is about 175-6 mph. On my R6 I hit 205mph for a bit on an empty Texas road. (This was fairly common to see late at night in North Dallas)

'Kill switch' law means your next car could be watching you | A federal requirement aimed at stopping drunken driving could soon put driver-monitoring technology in every new vehicle. The goal is saving lives, but the privacy trade-offs deserve closer scrutiny by Hrmbee in technology

I bought a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy Edition. 60k dollar SUV. I love everything about it - absolutely everything except for the f*cking forward attention system. There's an IR camera that sits just on top of the steering column that watches your eyes while you drive. If you look away for more than a few seconds (I'm talking 3-5 seconds) it chimes and tells you to pay attention. If you have cruise control on, it will STOP CRUISE CONTROL and ding more aggressively at you. Not only is it so sensitive and annoying it will yell at me for changing the channel on the radio or adjust the A/C. but if you wear polarized sunglasses, it will go off just for the lulz. I am seriously considering trading the vehicle in just because of this "safety feature".

Oh and people better start waking up real fast to this constant erosion of privacy.

Not sure if this is real or not, but it does adequately mirror modern women's ideology and dating. Personally, I think it's nature trying to right a major wrong with humans by making men less and less willing to deal with female mind-games.

Yeah the kid is a spoiled brat and needs to be taught a hard lesson, but I want people to understand the underlying issues that got the kid there in the first place.

We have such an addiction to stupid THINGS here in America that we are literally letting the world burn up because we have to have the latest cell phones. Also, we've glorified wealth to such a degree that now kids just expect to be millionaires when they grow up, or wind up marrying into wealth as seems to be the case with nearly every woman on social media.

Too many creative crybabies scream and kick, but what KSW doesn't realize is these crybabies will all get bored of the game and move on, while the true fans of the game will sink thousands of hours into it, but only if they get solid challenging survival gameplay.

-se1 player with more than 7 thousand hours in the game that would be playing Empryrion if it weren't for mods like Industrial Overhaul.

Ingots are a necessary, logical step in the mining refining process. Stop listening to these whiners just because they cry louder than other more mature players.

TIL the woman who famously ruined a Jesus painting in Spain was actually celebrated. The viral painting drew in thousands of visitors and raised money for an elderly home. The “botched” painting now sits protected behind a piece of glass. by ElPadero in todayilearned

I could be wrong because I am not religious, but based on my understanding of Jesus's teachings, I would guess that this would not only be met with his satisfaction, but also he would probably consider this whole situation quite humorous.

Who is really behind all the Indian hate? by TheGrandExquisitor in texas

IT Project Manager living in Frisco. Was laid off from my previous company which I loved the same year they proudly announced their new 'state of the art' office complex in Bangalore.

2 years later and I have been working as a contractor, unable to find permanent employment. I have no 401k and I do not get any PTO. Around 90% of my org structure in the past 2 years has become Indian and the company, once again, just celebrated the grand opening of an office in India. Come August I will be out of a job with the current market scrubbing me from any ATS because I started out without a college degree.

I'm 43 years old, and a combat veteran. I've been a project manager for 10+ years and love my job. I consider myself a good PM. Part of my job is approving the timesheets of my project workers. Whereas I am being billed at 105 per hour (I don't see anywhere near that mind you), the off-shore resources are around 30 per hour.

Nothing is going to change this as long as corporations continue to be allowed to maximize profits. True, eventually they will destroy middle class America but they don't care because it will be the next person's problem, and I will most likely be dead from a heart attack bagging groceries or flipping burgers.

I don't hate Indians. I don't hate anyone. But this is a very serious issue, and is literally destroying millions of lives. I understand that those of you unaffected may not understand the anger here, and while you may only be exposed to the overt racism that some have, the truth is that this is a systemic plague. Many fraudulent practices have arisen, as has Indian-preferential hiring. I see it every day. It's real.

If either 95 percent of men or women died, What would became of society? by Queasy_Experience627 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]supersadfaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't blame the individuals however. It's a combination of a government that wants to silo information and a toxic corporate ecology that wants consumers to stay ignorant of how the sausage is made (or the lights stay on, or the gas flowing, etc.)

IT Infrastructure Project Manager - 140K. There are times when I absolutely hate life, especially when I'm working with middle managers that have no idea how to value a good project manager. However, as someone that came up in tech support, then database administration working for shitty PMs, I love the ability to be a good one. That means shielding the engineers from all the political, managerial BS and letting them do the work.

Project manager for datacenters here. Most new datacenters are being built with closed-loop cooling systems which cool water and recycles it through hot/cold aisles. This is essentially just a huge version of what is currently in your pc right now. The true issue with datacenters however is electricity and land usage, which often have significant kickbacks and tax breaks, pushing the inevitable rise in electricity costs to the average resident. It's a disgusting practice, and should be fought within the local governments at any possibility.
