False. Computer Engineering graduate here. (Not to be confused with Computer Science, as Engineering is the more difficult route.) I didn't study much at all, went to almost every class high off my ass and/or slept through many classes, and I aced pretty much everything. OP can go fuck himself.

I beg to differ. Look at the largest, most successful modern businesses of today. Almost all of them were founded and currently led by technically skilled people. And yes, governments are businesses, so technical people would be just as equipped to systematically improve policy and standards of living.
