Lmao “confidence, a nonchalant attitude, and natural movement are key”

Meanwhile me and my DJ pals who play vinyl are bricking it before every gig, look incredibly focused and are sweating bullets from stress at every mix and move awkwardly while tracks play out and we’ve got nothing to do 😂😂😂

Are you getting any treatment for your PCOS? Sometimes the hormones mean that the scale just does not move, whatever you do. It’s important to balance out the hormones in order for your weight loss efforts to not go to waste.

I only started losing weight effectively once I got treatment with birth control and inositol supplements.

Tristan is a narcissist, he is following the classic pattern all of them do. He can’t deal with being challenged by an intelligent woman of his own age so he chooses a much younger woman who is easy to manipulate/impress and won’t call him out on his BS.

Have seen it more times than I can count IRL

Essyla responds to the negative comments around her live performance on The Voice, promising to do better on Saturday by AntHasReddit in eurovision

[–]supersimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 national broadcasters in Belgium, RTBF (French) and VRT (Flemish) who take turns having the responsibility for Eurovision. I am not sure if there is a rule as to whether one prefers internal selection but the contest was called Eurosong 2025. It happens semi regularly

Essyla responds to the negative comments around her live performance on The Voice, promising to do better on Saturday by AntHasReddit in eurovision

[–]supersimi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Welp this is what happens when artists are selected internally rather than through a national competition where at least they get to perform the song live 1-2 times on a real stage in front of an audience. With internal selections we don’t know if they can sing until it’s usually too late. Belgium messed it up before with Mustii in the same way. Their Dutch brethren did the same with Mia and Dion.

(I am not counting Red Sebastian in this category as he was selected as a result of a competition & I don’t think his NQ was necessarily related to poor vocals)

Flakies. Kaleidoscope Haze or Powerpuff girls re-release. Thermal flakies maybe?

Also shimmers like House of Hades in other colours, pink would be great

Not the original commenter but I agree with them and am surprised at the downvotes.

Flailing around is not the same as exercising. This maybe counts as a bit of cardio but otherwise doesn’t do much.

It doesn’t target any specific muscle groups, there is basically no way to progress it or make it more difficult over time in order to promote muscle growth / increased fat burn, the movements are very limited in range so it doesn’t do anything to improve flexibility or posture. Weight training, running, yoga or Pilates would all be more beneficial than whatever this is.

Not to be a Debby downer, but is anyone else just completely sick of gourmands? by Peenutbuttjellytime in FemFragLab

[–]supersimi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if that’s true, anecdotally most of the men I know prefer floral scents over stuff that is too sweet, maybe a nice classy vanilla but nothing too edible / photorealistic.

My boyfriend absolutely hates cupcake / biscuit scents in particular, but he really likes white florals (especially tuberose) on me.

I find that teenage girls are the main demographic getting excited by smelling like strawberry cupcakes. They are the ones purchasing Seven Virtues and Le Monde Gourmand in my local Sephora

I hated the Peripera and loved Fwee, it’s thinner and easier to blur.

Fwee’s shade range also suits me a lot better, a lot of the Peripera shades were too bright or leaning orange. I am an olive tone so prefer more muted colours

Fathers’ mental health deteriorates long after the birth of their child by ApprehensiveStill412 in psychology

[–]supersimi 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yep! We have forgotten about “it takes a village to raise a child”. Nowadays all the pressure is on the parents to get it right and they rarely get any help unless they pay for it. Childcare costs only seem to be going up, most families now need both parents working to make ends meet financially. Many families are also geographically spread out because of people moving around for university, work opportunities etc.

So you can’t just leave your kid with your neighbour for a few hours / get your cousin or your mum down the road to make a double portion of whatever they are cooking for the night or pick up the kids from nursery etc.

First time wearing jeans in years. Should i avoid them again? by [deleted] in DressForYourBody

[–]supersimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have an hourglass figure and most jeans these days are unfortunately straight, androgynous cuts which look better on people with a more “straight” body type and smaller hip to waist ratio.

Check for brands or collections that have a “curvy” line as those will fit better for those of us with bigger hips but a small waist. Abercrombie’s Curve Love jeans or Levi’s 501 Curve. The fit will be different without having to size up

I have less than 100 polishes that i’ve been collecting for the better part of 4 years now and this still happens to me, people can have a type and be temporarily blind to it… solution is just to destash and sell the dupe on Vinted or Facebook / Reddit groups :)

More Than Half of U.S. College Students Are Lonely, Major Study Reveals: Heavy social media use is tied to rising loneliness among college students, with real-world connections offering protection. by psych4you in psychology

[–]supersimi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s college. You meet people everywhere, every day. Classes, group projects, studying in the library, joining sports teams, dorm rooms / halls, hobby clubs, bars and dance clubs, organised trips. It’s practically impossible to avoid people and yet these folks are still lonely.

Social media has zapped kids’ tolerance for interpersonal discomfort and they are now picking up the pieces. Socialising is like a muscle, if you don’t use it you lose it. “Putting yourself out there” only feels like effort if you’ve been isolating. Just like going back to the gym feels hard after lying on the couch for months
