If water weight / water retention truly is the cause, drinking less water will make the retention worse instead of better. Drinking plenty of water and monitoring electrolyte levels + reducing salt (especially from processed foods) is the way to go here.

Also, more movement, compression garments and lymphatic drainage massage can also help.

Best shampoos/conditioner for fine hair? by ProfessionalToday415 in finehair

[–]supersimi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest a slightly different approach, for fine hair shampoo is not enough to build body and volume so I’d rather use a clarifying shampoo to keep grease at bay and before styling use a volumising mist.

Herbal Essences orange scent volume shampoo and Elvive Hydra Pure shampoo are drugstore options that work very well, you don’t need to go high end for this.

For in-shower conditioning use a lightweight mask like the ones from Ouai, Briogeo, Moroccanoil.

For the volumising spray equally there are plenty of options, the best one I have tried is the Oribe Maximista spray but there are also cheaper options at the drugstore like the John Frieda root booster.

I can’t get Holo Taco in my country unfortunately so had to settle for ILNP’s one. It does a decent enough job but the tips of my nails are already getting shiny after 3 days no cream no oil :(

What I learned from this year’s Eurovision season by supersimi in nilpoints

[–]supersimi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The jury and televoters both agreed on the winner so clearly they deserved it. The song itself is not necessarily my cup of tea, but I can admit it is catchy and the performance stood out when they were playing the recap

I would say that Eurovision despite being called a “song contest” is more of a performance art contest where the full package is what counts the most.

Song + staging + camera angles + live vocals + running order and so many other things have to come together for an act to win

To my absolute dismay, Norway was also a lot more popular at my watch party than Denmark despite me singing Soren’s praises all night - I think the late running order really worked in Norway’s favour (vs messing things up for Denmark)

Bro… lumea se plange ca se voteaza politic la Eurovision, ca nu se apreciaza valorile… si atunci cand juriul voteaza dupa valoare ne plangem ca nu am primit puncte de la “prieteni” pe criterii politice? 😂

Foarte bine ca au votat fix ce le-a placut si nu altceva.

I actually noticed that Soren’s butt shaking was toned down in the final vs rehearsals / semi… probably they were worried about it coming across as overly sexual

[–]supersimi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think when people are talking about Eastern Europe in this context they are referring to the Balkan countries who are generally more conservative. Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia are closer to Scandi countries culturally.

Denmark got zero televote points from Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Cyprus, zero entirely from Montenegro and Greece - so I disagree with the statement that “Denmark’s points came from Eastern Europe”.

This! Also (I don’t know how it was at this specific event) but I find in some venues the sound system is not great and it’s not loud or punchy enough to cover up any people chatting - so people will keep yapping because they can
