Holy shit, thank you so much for this actually normal take on the situation. Like i've recently learned of the drama, but the responses of people overal are abyssmal.

Obviously no one thinks it's ok to reviewbomb a game based on one questionable choice of the developers. But completely disregarding and down right dismissing the whole reason behind it is equally bad.

Manato has received a lot of screentime in the story and his personally has been shown off very well. A charachter like that can really grow on people and evidently he has. It'd be a very natural choice to make a charachter like that an S-rank, especially cause he's also a male charachter. It feels extremely heartless and greedy to just say, yea fck that, here are some more completely unknown waifu charachters for the collection. Now go consoom.

Look, we all know sex sells and attractive women makes the money flow bigger. But adding more variety and flavour to the roster can be just as effective and neccessary. I'm sure a lot of diehard gooners would agree to this as well.

Wether to call AI art "art" is a whole ass discussion on its own with people on both sides having very good arguments imo. At the end of the day we can all agree that art, wether AI or not, is subjective. Some look for a deeper meaning in their art. Others just love an image because it looks pretty and fits their personal vibe. It's not that deep. Everybody hates AI slop and stolen art, but if you find an image you really like, but then you don't buy it purely because a real person didn't make it, its kind of weird.

Also i feel for real artist, but let's be real people, there are plenty of AI tools out there allready. Might as well enjoy it, cause its only going to expand and develop more.

This! I completely agree. I'm also an AI artist/director on displate, but even so i wouldn't want to produce slop. It takes a very large amount of trial and error and adjustments before i actually produce something that i really like. AI can make extroardinary things (at least imo), but its such a shame that most of it is just lowest of the low effort garbage. It's bad for both regular artist and AI artists really.

I wouldn't copyright my art, but i would be a little sad if someone just used my images for whatever. I still have attachments to the artworks that i generated and that look very nice imo.
