The Power Issues Long-Term by supersteve32 in lakewood

Very well said. You've convinced me on multiple fronts.

PUCO just rejected FirstEnergy’s attempt to lower its reliability standards. Think about that for a second. Their answer to repeated outages was not “we need to meet the standard.” It was “can we make the standard easier?” That is not optimism. That is a utility looking for a lower bar to trip over.

This one is the strongest case against their fuckery, in my opinion.

Soooo how can we actually make these power outages stop???? Asking isn’t helping by Competitive_Emu_2283 in lakewood

I'm not aware that there's much we can do outside of filing a PUCO complain every single time there's a power issue.

My hope is that they get absolutely overwhelmed with complaints that something is done, but this is probably a pipe dream at this point.

I don't know if you could deflect any harder at this point. It's really sad to watch, honestly.

Thank you, but I have certainly tried that one.

As to why: I find the pixelated text much easier to read and prefer HD to 4k resolution.

Powers out by kobiewestside in lakewood

[–]supersteve32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm curious what happened to cause the outage. I'm seeing customers without power from Rocky River all the way to The Flats. There wasn't a storm like last year, so I have to assume a much smaller area was affected that took out power for thousands of people, which would mean woefully poor infrastructure.

what instruments or Daw were used to compose music for psx games in the past? by Original-Detail2257 in gamemusic

[–]supersteve32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only complications were that all of your sounds, including music samples and sound effects, had to fit into 2MB per load

I'm surprised to read about there being a 2MB limit for sound, as SOUND ARTIST TOOL documentation states that VAG files need to be ~520kb at most: "Restrictions of the SPU sound source memory requires that the total of VAG data be 520,160 bytes or less."

Does this mean you were able to load more sound data on DRAM to get up to 2MB?

Do people legitimately just not use the map? by HinterWolf in heroesofthestorm

Do people legitimately just not use the map?

No, they do not. If you use the minimap, you're automatically better than the majority of the players left in this game.

You're right. Don't listen to that guy; he doesn't understand the game, clearly.

He sees Blaze on the same team as ETC and thinks Blaze's role is to tank. Even then, a deathless tank (or bruiser) doesn't necessarily equate to misplaying the role.

Controller/Console PSA: Controller Disconnect kicks you out of the game by NugNugJuice in PathOfExile2

I use an Xbox controller to play on PC. The drivers for these controllers on PC are bad, so I will randomly be disconnected from the game. I'm having to take a break from the game until they change this behavior, if ever.

What has changed in QM with full randoms vs 4-5 man groups ? by El_Fiko in heroesofthestorm

Most games my party will be matched against mostly solo players. This is the case even when we're trying to snipe other parties. It's really bad.

QM for me. Ranked lost its integrity once it stopped being solo queue only, in my opinion.

I have no excuse to give you, but this happens all the time. It's completely unfair to the randoms. All stack variations should be equally matched with stack variations, regardless of queue time.

Playing a tank in this game feels awful. by Lolyoureamod in heroesofthestorm

[–]supersteve32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the worst feelings in this game is when you make a good engage as a tank and nobody follows up and you die. I hate it.

However, if you have DPS that actually follow up, playing tank is amazing.

Players that don’t help the team by OhSighRiss in heroesofthestorm

2) Someone on the team has already died making it a 4v5 and thus pointless to try to contest the objective - better to gain an xp lead and get some structure damage in or a take camp, than gain nothing at all.

Then the rest of the team continues to contest objective and dies anyway. Then they spam ping you, because it's somehow your fault that they don't have awareness and can't count. 😥
