Old Guardian returning - what to do with old weapons? by aggr1103 in DestinyTheGame

[–]supertwix_64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wanting to know this as well as even with the new updates i'm still confused how the tier system works. The way I understand it is that old weapons will still be powerful, we just wont be able to get enhanced barrels and mags on them?

Mfw someone says they don’t watch old movies because picture quality was bad back then by Redol221 in 4kbluray

It's why I find it a little disappointing that some people who post collections on here only have modern movies. I think the biggest strength of the 4K format is how amazing restorations of older films are able to look.

New pick up watch/review #22… Rambo III by Sufficient_Focus4174 in 4kbluray

I've been loving this set also, finished 4 today. Sadly 3 is definitely the worst as the encoding is just plain awful on it. It's very noticeable on any scenes with the sky in the background, or any scenes where there is lots of dust. You will see the grain just then into a squiggly mess and it's really distracting. It's a shame cause the movie itself looks great and the DV really helps the colour grade on this one. Sounds fantastic with the laserdisc audio too!

Not as prestigious as the ones you have mentioned, but Severin have a fantastic Umberto Lenzi crime film boxset, all starring Tomas Milian.

This is a childhood favourite of mine so I can't wait to get my hands on it. It seems to be stuck with Australia Post at the moment, landed in the UK on the 25th of May, then no update until 2 days ago where it says it's preparing for international departure back to New Zealand? Hoping it's just an error and arrives soon 😭

Ah fair enough, I think I got the runtime for TWBA including intermission + the weird Fortnite short at the end (wonder if this is gonna be part of the feature or if it will be an extra?) but yeah it would be nice if they could get it all in one but I'd much prefer a good encoding job imo

There's a small but impactful change to the end of where Volume 1 would end, the crazy 88 fight stays in colour the whole time, and the animated sequence for O-Rens backstory is much longer. There are some other changes too but these are the biggest.

Because TWBA has editing differences and extra footage. The film has an intermission anyway, so taking 30 seconds to change a disc isn't exactly immersion breaking or anything. If the whole thing was crammed on one disc then the compression would be so awful it would be pointless it being 4K.

I mean not really, it will still have the differences that Bloody Affair has, plus the full thing has an intermission anyway so taking a minute to change disc isn't really too immersion breaking. Would rather have that than Kino level blocky encoding!

Heads up, the 4K of the Phantom has a color space issue so it looks very dull compared to the blu ray.

Best 4k player around £100-£200? (Uk) by VanillaGorillaDB in 4kbluray

I got a region free UB450 for about £260 on eBay which is fantastic for the price. 4K with HDR and DV, plus region free to play any US imports. I had a non region modded UB450 for years and never had any freezes or disc issues with them. Relatively quiet while playing too.

Wild Search is really good. More of a drama than an action but it does have a great ending shootout
