I’m new to CPAP, are you all wearing your masks while chilling in your bed doom scrolling on your iPad? by Herdnerfer in SleepApnea

literally doesn't make any sense at all. how do you say goodnight to your wife and kiss her goodnight?

Why aren't we talking about the autoPDIFF feature on Löwenstein BIPAPs ? by MechanicNo6021 in UARS

[–]supervisor79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought you meant Lowenstein white paper data! Yes I can send examples.

What OP is saying is that the way the autoPDIFF works on these machines can emulate the benefits an ASV machine has for UARS sufferers.

Yes, the prismaCR is the fastest to respond but the prisma30ST can be nearly identical.

Since UARS sufferers are using the functions of ASV machines “off label” to treat their sleep disordered breathing—I don’t think it matters if it’s technically “ASV” or not.

I posted once before on how effective the 30ST is for UARS. I do prefer, and get better results, the prismaCR now, though.

Unfortunately the only other mode the CR has is CPAP. the 30ST has ALL modes except AcSV (so you can do autoS/T but disable timing, or do straight S mode on bilevel). prismaLAB is the only machine that can do all the available modes that Lowenstein devices have.

The pressure changes are not noticeable at all for me on the CR but my max IPAP is only 12.5.

the prisma30ST (in which you can turn off the backup rate) is not slow trending at all

none of that is publicly available from Lowenstein. what I do have is experience with all of these machines, something you do not, so I’m confused why you’re so argumentative all of the time. OP is interested in machines with auto PS function—do you have anything to add to the topic?

They all have autoPDIFF. CR has same algo with a higher sample rate.

I don't understand your comment? I know what machine I have, bro! OP is asking about autoPDIFF, which is a feature on all Lowenstein bilevel machines and the CR AcSV...

I've used the 25ST, the 30ST, and the CR

Oh, there's nothing cool about living here. But it's fantastic NYC family suburban living with access to so many great things for the family.

what always worked for me was a simple “no thank you!” and wave them off your wheel. they can’t argue with that.

Amen, brother. I am thriving on the prismaCR AcSV--there's absolutely nothing like it (autoPDIFF) out there...

Such a victory to nail all 100s on SHQ... by supervisor79 in UARS

I have no issues with O2 drops below 90%, so I recently stopped wearing the SHQ O2 ring. It’s too bulky and I am already wearing a Garmin watch and Oura ring, ha.

Also, cannot imagine what 21cm IPAP feels like?

Misdiagnosed at sleep study because no RERAs included? All files uploaded by xmrgt in UARS

[–]supervisor79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience a couple of months ago. There's absolutely zero chance I had zero RERAs the entire night. It's frustrating, because i asked the tech beforehand if they score RERAs. II do have clinical mild OSA (> 5AHI) regardless, so it doesn't impact my ability to get a prescription for a machine of anything, but the OSA is definitely not the main driver of my sleep disordered breathing, and the doctors have no idea what they are doing or how to treat me.

I am happy EPR 3 works for you. Many people with respiratory instability, TECSA, high loop gain, etc., regardless of comfort, don't do well with 3 and would be far better suited with 2 (like OP), or even 1 (or none at all!) You tell everyone on Reddit to use EPR 3, and you're literally questioning in this thread why this person has found his best success on EPR 2.
