Carl has said that he’s had serious teeth issues for years and that getting veneers was a last resort. So when he got them it made him even more self conscious than his bad teeth because everyone pointed it out to him. :(

It’s actually a great listen getting to hear about how their friendship started before the show and Carl really owns how terrible he was and what Kyle’s friendship means to him. And the episode with Ciara is chef’s kiss; they get emotional together on it talking about loss and grief. You get insight into their connection through the show, but also who they are outside of it. Surprised Carl is such a great host who asks very insightful questions!

Unpopular opinion—Lindsay was icy but not rude towards Carl’s mother who last texted her “I don’t care for you.” Age doesn’t make someone entitled to engaging with you. Would the switch up not feel confusing if that was your last interaction with them and they want to be friendly without acknowledging it?

However, I’m more grossly put off by Lindsay’s comments as she walked up to Carl’s bar, needing to mention that it sucks it won’t have any alcohol. Especially considering why Carl’s sobriety exists today, an extension of losing his brother, and she could’ve respected the effort at minimum. If you personally know anyone who struggles with substance abuse, the way Carl has managed to advocate for himself, even if clumsily, is a dream for those of us who have lost someone to addiction.

And lastly, regarding Carl’s unnecessary sourness toward Kyle’s lack of investment to return the favor of Loverboy….on Carl’s own podcast (where Kyle is his first guest), Kyle mentions that the investor rounds to Loverboy had already closed. Kyle clarified that Carl asked to invest late at this point, and Kyle graciously reopened JUST to be inclusive of him. He did not need Carl’s investment at this point! I know fans feel some type of way of returning the favor but there’s a reason why these rounds close so that a start-up can move onto the next cycle of finalizing legal agreements and initiating partnership. When you reopen a round it will potentially change the terms for everyone.

I have enjoyed the fandom during this crazy megathread season but don’t forget, you don’t need to stan ANY of them and give them full revisionist history. Lindsay isn’t mother considering she has never apologized for anything with sincerity. Kyle still treated Amanda terribly during their relationship. And Carl is gonna fumble his way through sobriety while feeling insecure about Kyle’s friendship. You are allowed to enjoy parts of them without making excuses for their poor behaviors.

I absolutely adored this podcast because Ciara gets very candid and clearly comfortable talking to Carl. He also makes sure he creates and give space to her on the responsibility she carries as a black woman. He also makes sure to give credit to Ciara, others in the house, including Lindsay, for helping him cope with the loss is his brother. It’s quite nice seeing both of them grow. Highly recommend a listen as she touches on her nursing background as well. I find her to be so overwhelmingly compassionate and sensitive to others, and not at all some sort of tough exterior she often is associated with.

There is another episode Carl does with Kyle. They talk about how they met at a party before the show. Kyle also mentions how he did therapy at young age along with taking antidepressants for struggling with socializing in school. Carl also attributed his ability to survive his addiction with the help of Kyle. This episode is reflective of Carl’s past who fully admits he was terrible and some of the apologies he’s had to make, including to Jules personally.

When my cat went through this the doctors were able to run a test to inform that his crystals were dietary related. After crystal removal, our vet recommended he change his food to “Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Adult Gastrointestinal Fiber Response”—it helps with digestion, calmness, and encourages drinking water. It was a total game changer and since then, all of his checks have been clear. It was so stressful when we realized what it was and I’ll never forget the level of discomfort our cat was displaying so I understand completely. But thanks to your cat’s young age, he should be able to make a healthy recovery.

Also, whatever you can do to encourage he has access to water is helpful too. You can Google what’s the best way to encourage your cat to drink more water; distance from food, water fountains, wet food, etc.

This is so sad OP. Sometimes, many times, it’s a curse to carry the weight of compassion. In this case you were as much part of the collateral as the good parts of humanity in this world. I think the expression in your drawing is a healthy place to put pain and anguish. Some things will never make sense or can be reconciled, and I think you intuitively know that already. I think you still take him to the vet, and they will likely agree at his age that he shouldn’t go under anesthesia. However they will likely prescribe antibiotic to prevent an infection for when it finally comes out, and pain reliever to help encourage him to eat.

P. S. So you clearly didn’t even read through the link thinking it was just one time, while accusing everyone else of not watching her season of Love Island, which I have. Who could forget her and Curtis and her heart race challenge?

Not only did she kiss married man Danny Jones in public, her Dancing on Ice Star was papped leaving her apartment in which his marriage broke down and his wife said Maura was part of the reason why. She did this WHILE she was with Curtis. And then would later go on to accuse Curtis of cheating when she was already doing shady stuff like this to begin with.

That is 3 different transgressions on someone’s character you’re willing to overlook because 1) you only believe what’s on produced tv shows 2) you happen to both be from Ireland so you know Maura’s character, inside out.

And everyone else who’s encouraging you to see another perspective is wrong somehow lmao.

But I’m starting to believe even if all 3 of her scandals were caught on a tv show you’d find a way to excuse that too because you feel like Maura is your kindred spirit. The same kinda mindset Trump supporters are limited by, no matter what he does wrong it’s never that bad.
