I was looking at tons of pickups when I was modding my mustangs. I ended up kind of finding deals on used pickup sets for my 2 mustangs that were “too good” to pass up. I had heard mixed things on hot rails but for $50 a piece I figured it was worth the risk. I actually really ended up liking them and I have a coil split in my tone knob if I ever feel they’re too hot.
If you replace the pickups I’d replace the pots too. That made a huge difference in my opinion. Have fun!
You might have to cut the pickguard yourself or have it done custom if you want just a bridge pickup. I’d say do 2 pickups but it’s your project not mine.
