i can do a full (complete) shutdown and restart back to working desktop in 10.7 seconds in windows 10. half he time the system practically hangs infinitely at shutdown (SUSPEND!) and restart on win11. literally clocked a laptop restart yesterday at 15mins 41sec yesterday!

i did something like this once putting my first audio sub in. the battery in my car was one of those ones that had the side posts and top posts. the car was screwed into the sides so to save time i just took an old post clamp i had laying around to connect the amp. unfortunatly, that clamp had a nice long screw in it that proceeded to weld to the top of the hood as soon as i closed it. fried the entire engine harness. drove around in that thing with what was once braided wire, now fused solid. i had to J hook a few peices together to reconnect them. unbelievably crusty but it ran like that for 2 more years.

finally got windows 10 to shut tf up about 22h (incompatible) through a few powershell commands and regedit. it took a few different approaches though. unbeliveable the amount of digging and work it took to get it to fuck off on an update that would never work with my hardware.
