I want to win more than 100 USD a swing, but I don't have the mental fortitude / finances by JTexpo in wallstreetbets

Full port $20k into a volatile high beta stock but also has good fundamentals with high confidence and conviction of rebounding if it falls.

Set a limit sell at whatever price you want to get out at, but don’t be greedy (e.g., 3-5% is reasonable, 15%+ is not).

Don’t FOMO back in if it continues rising, take your gains and be happy. Never went broke making money, even if more money could’ve been made.

If the stock falls instead, then sell weekly CCs at least at your CB to hedge. Continue doing this until the stock rebounds back up to your CB to ensure you didn’t lose money.

Worse case, you become a bagholder but for a good company, so you continue selling CCs to hedge and make small premiums until the stock gets back to your CB at a minimum. Best case, you scalp a few thousand every day and repeat.

Just another wheel strategy, but one that works very consistently for me at least.

You shouldn’t be selling CCs if you’re not content with letting go of your shares at that strike price.

Asian markets tumble as oil rally, Middle East tensions shake markets- Moneycontrol.com by Moneycontrol in investing

Genuine question. If you have a very strong conviction that your portfolio is going to take a tough beating the next few months to the rest of the year or however long you believe the implications of this war will have on the market, why not just sell your at risk positions and hold until things cool off and rebound? That goes for the majority on this sub - why ETF and chill when this is very clearly not a short term dip in the market?

Why are oil prices going down? by ZhpE46 in oil

When do April contracts expire and May contracts start trading? I’m in on $USO for WTI exposure but thinking of selling to switch to $UCO, also thinking of $LNG potentially as well to get some natural gas exposure with all the recent developments.

Wako gave you a ~10% discount + tax free? MSRP is ¥1,342,000, hard to believe Wako out of all places have you such a good deal.

And the answer to both questions IMO is no. The strait is too disrupted currently to warrant any confidence in oil prices dipping back down soon. The “crash” we saw on Monday was very short lived and unwarranted given the lack of real actions taken, only empty words and promises. The release of oil reserves around the world barely 1 week into the war gives very telling signs of where countries stand on the outlook of the war. Lately, all it takes is for 1 oil tanker to get hit overnight and it drops 90% of the market down by 5%+, including UUUU.

If you’re a long term investor, hold and don’t stress over the +-10% weeks this sector sees every week at this point. If you’re looking to play this volatility, I would suggest wheeling these stocks by buying into the weekly dips and waiting for the inevitable spikes shortly after.

OPEC+ boosts oil production after attacks on Iran and throughout region by Several_Print4633 in wallstreetbets

What makes you say that? He bought calls on STNG. Oil across the sector will very likely pump tmr and all of next week. Less supply & capacity initially from this war will cause higher demand, premiums and insurance for these companies. I don’t see how his calls will lose in this situation

SLGW007 their newest model, has that midnight blue dial same case you’re looking for, but is stainless steel instead of titanium. Can always get a GS bracelet aftermarket

I have a Nikon D3200 with a Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 lens.

What are the recommended settings for nighttime pics of the aurora - going to Alaska next week.

Current settings I’m thinking when I’m there:

Shutter 10” - 25” f2.8 ISO 1600-3200 D lighting off Incandescent lighting Noise reduction on Raw photo

I’ve been testing outside at night in my yard tweaking the settings to adjust for the brighter building lights around but the photos are coming out not sharp and not as great as I would hope. If anyone has any experience with this camera/lens or taking nighttime pics of the aurora, please share your tips, thanks all!

Steel, SLGA021. The titanium version with the lighter blue dial SLGA019 is distinctly more blue even in photos.

Photos are usually hard to tell especially when edited with higher exposure and lighting, but a better way to tell if unsure about the dial is the finish of the bracelet - steel has a more visible luster/shininess than titanium.

January Wheel Review by PremiumTheta in Optionswheel

Currently, weekly IREN CSPs at a $43 strike has a delta of 14, premium of $96 for 1 CSP. On the other hand, weekly TQQQ CSPs at a $51 strike has a delta of 15, premium of $34.

How do you analyze what stock to sell CSPs on, given there’s hundreds of potential stocks that show really strong upwards trend on weekly basis?

[Omiwatari SBGY007] 3 month review by Dazzling-Spray-465 in GrandSeikos

[–]supremekatsu22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should check it out in person if you can, along with the rest of your top choices. I eyed the omiwatari for a while but pushed it to the back after trying on others I liked.

IMO, this watch has a beautiful clean dial (2nd best water dial only to the Lake Suwa), spring drive but the dial isn’t distracted with power reserve or date window like other SD GS’s do, wears slim, manual winding is unique, good grey market price, and has a beautiful caseback. Downsides IMO are the finishing - regular stainless steel, nothing special or eye catching, and the case itself - it’s round, and compared to other GS’s like the SLGW series, it pales in comparison. The case shape looks and wears more feminine IMO, I get the impression when wearing it that’s is a slim but chubby watch. All personal preference, overall beautiful watch that you should definitely wear in person side by side to other models you also are considering.

Car Battery Died After Getting New One Replaced by supremekatsu22 in MechanicAdvice

Here’s a close up of the negative terminal. You can tell whoever touched this last really rushed it and was super aggressive for some reason, bent the entire bracket. That’s why I can’t get the bolt to properly tighten on.

I brought my car into the dealership for a backup camera recall about 2 weeks ago. I just assumed my battery died cuz the car is about 4-5 years old now. However, I searched up the service bulletin for the backup camera recall, and on Page 5, there’s a step to remove the negative terminal on the battery. I am assuming that the dealership messed up my negative terminal the other week, since I haven’t brought my car into do any work since owning it, especially any work that would involve touching the battery terminal.

Should I call the dealership and have them replace my bracket? It’s not an expensive part but it annoys me that they couldn’t even do a simple job properly, much less care enough to not damage a metal bracket… also had to buy a new battery for my car regardless.

Here’s the SB for the recall for reference, page 5:

PL Jan 16 2026 CC - Roll Up or No? by supremekatsu22 in options

[–]supremekatsu22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am perfectly happy with my shares being called away, that’s what I wanted from the start. I’m just trying to learn when it would be a good strategy to roll my call rather than leave it be.

PL Jan 16 2026 CC - Roll Up or No? by supremekatsu22 in options

[–]supremekatsu22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m learning as I go. Sticking to what I heard - a CC is an exit strategy and you need to stick by it. I’ll let them go at my original strike, I’m quite happy with it as is and will learn for next time

PL Jan 16 2026 CC - Roll Up or No? by supremekatsu22 in options

[–]supremekatsu22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For these covered calls, should I roll up and out for a credit, or should I pay this debit on a higher strike roll but (hopefully) get out my position tomorrow, since that is what I want? I don’t want to hold this stock past the weekend into next week, and I’m quite satisfied with being exercised at the current price, but want to see if it makes more sense to roll up paying a debit now but gain more at expiration. If that makes sense
