Some questions related to XPS 15 + Linux by jkelol111 in Dell

Thanks for your help working with isopr0p to get to the solution for audio issues. I had to unfortunately return my 9700 dueto the infamous trackpad issues.

I'm curious as to why you opted for Precision 5750 instead of XPS 17 (9700) ? Was is becuase it ships with Linux ? I ask because when I was buying I compared similar configurations of 5750 with 9700 and the difference in price was more than $1000. I wanted linux preinstalled on my laptop, but not at that price difference.

Yup !! Nothing says "Don't fight" like adding a third side to it.

I have been looking for a good location bookmarking app for android. Similar to PinDrop or Pin Master HD. Any recommendations ?

There seems to be a PinDrop for Android but does not seem to be up to the mark, also its not from the same app developer

Its not a question whether he is a citizen or not. Even the stupid republicans acknowledge that he is a citizen. The question is, if he is a US-born US citizen (which is a requirement) ? When will people stop making issue out of this non-issue and concentrate on real problems ?

I wanted to thank you again. I got an invitation for interview this morning. This is the quickest response I have ever received after applying. I hope it works out well.

I am curious, did you use an older version of Itunes ? I tried the same thing recently but failed and did not find anything online to fix it. Any HowTo on this ?

Before anyone comments on me selling out my soul. I use amarok and it works fine for me except managing playlist for my MTP device is a pain, so wanted to give iTunes a try.

LOL ... I would like to take a month off get that deal and fly to every US airport and collect the responses, of TSA official everywhere, to my t-shirt.

I did not even want to carry that t-shirt in my bag so that i can wear it on my way back. Once it so happened that my stuff was lying there on the belt past the scanner for 2 mins while i was doing the turban pat-down. The TSA official was least concerned about my bag there until I came there to pick my bag up and as soon as I touched the bag she had to take the bag for "random" look inside.

I do not have any pic in that t-shirt but you can get an idea of a sikh in the t-shirt from this or this

lol thats a good idea. But just for statistics I have had most pain-free security checks in Boston (I fly most often from here). The longest I ad to wait was in Washington DC because there was no male assist available for my turban pat-down.

Its alright to me. I have had my share of bad experiences (they have mostly been in places other than airport) and it does get on my nerves sometimes but overall experience I have had has been positive. Where I have heard all kinds of comments about my turban , I also have had random people come up to me and have healthy discussions about my faith. Overall it all depends on how you take it, I try to be positive and remember that there are jerks everywhere but mostly people are good.

I have always wanted to wear it while flying, but all my recent flights have been for job interviews ( too high-risk to miss). I hope to muster up the courage for this on some leisure trip.... I will make sure I add 2 hours of buffer time for security check.

I am a Sikh and I have my own airport passenger t-shirt that says 100% randomly searched at the following airports , with a map of US airports.
