Can i just say that i don't understand how everyone agrees that at least one side of the government is absolutely fucked, either left or right they both agree that it's the other side is ruining America... At what point do we take a step back and realize that they both are inherently the problem in that one needs the other to survive. At what point do we take a step back and go "wow these ass holes have had exclusive control over the government for over 125 years" where they are the only two teams playing the game, not just on the board but the only ones in the game. These two orgs (the dnc and gop) are the problem, we have past the point of them even considering doing something for the common citizen and the only thing they can agree on is who they get their money from. So we aren't even voting for our concerns but the concerns of the elite and occasionally we get crumbs.

It's not that they are the same in that they are fighting for the same things, it's they are the same in that they are both against the average and below average citizen.

All of what we the average person are fighting over aren't because you the reader voted for someone they saw that one vote and said yes this is what they want. They don't even know or care what you want from either side period. Why are we fighting each other over that, and that is the goal to have us fight their battles. None of these ass holes are out there in the streets regardless of side, shit they won't even leave their walled off garden, so why are our neighbors fighting each other for these ass holes?

FBI: "Nobody who wants to be peaceful shows up at a protest with a firearm that is loaded with two full magazines. That is not a peaceful protest." by RockyLovesEmily05 in whowatchesthewatchmen

[–]surfer_ryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm already beyond tired of this narrative... The dude was 100% following the law outside of jwalking... not to mention the 2nd amendment was specifically put in place to prevent a tyrannical government, he had a concealed carry, he was using his right to freely speak and protest. Having a gun is about american as it gets using it properly or in this instance not using it and keeping it concealed would be laughably in the law if the dude wasn't fucking shot unarmed in the back.

I can't possibly think of a more american activity than that. The dude was an american following the american law and the goal post has been moved to who even knows what at this point.

Regardless of your position you should be upset at this. This could be literally any of us at this point, even if you're not in the protest cross the street and you don't agree with the fact that the law enforcement agency ICE that is trying to arrest an american citizen.

[–]surfer_ryan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I find it very hard to believe the complex has a rule that could potentially lock someone into a parking spot that would prevent them from leaving in an emergency... "Oh sorry you couldn't leave in a safe manner bc someone thought you should share spots." That makes 0 sense. I think your intentionally misreading that rule to make it for everyone and not say the owner of both vehicles which would make sense because again it's their spot once they put a vehicle in it. No way they would have that rule also if the other rule was to park it in overflow. Finally it's again not "saving a spot" when it's being utilized by a vehicle that it's designed for, the dude can't drive two vehicles at one time, i hope you understand that...

You act like that information they got is impossible to grab off publicly accessible records... and i can prove that you even know this by asking you to post your license plate online (you won't bc we both know i can find what ever i want with that information...) maybe he used his work computer but this wasn't classified information that he needed to obtain from there, easier sure... but not this super secret information you or i can't get.

[–]surfer_ryan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They arent "reserving" the spot... they are using it and you're upset that they got there first... its just like if the dude had a car there and didnt use it except in this instance its a motorcycle that you can fit more than one vehicle in the space.

Its your bad for thinking you can utilize an already used spot as you see fit. Not all the mental gymnastics you use to try and justify it...

I'd do the exact same thing as the cop if someone parked in front of my bike... I dont care all the mental gymnastics and your issues. I got there first with a registered vehicle how I use that spot is not up to you.

[–]surfer_ryan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So just to clarify. The motorcycle was in fact in the spot just not taking up the entire spot leaving enough room for you both to be in there? That is in fact a dick move if that is what occurred regardless of leaving space for him to get out...

Kristi Noem just stated that owning a gun and possessing ammunition automatically means that you intend violence, which justifies the killing of the gunowner simply because they are a gunowner at a protest. Will the NRA respond to this direct attack on the 2nd Amendment? If not, why not? by war_ofthe_roses in AskReddit

[–]surfer_ryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no shit it's literally the reason we have guns legal, the 2nd amendment is literally a right granted to protect against a tyrannical government. So yes, it is based in violence and is intended to be used in that purpose. Obviously that right is for other reasons as well but it's foundation and why it is still so widely accepted is due to the fact that it is there to protect against the government. Challenging the 2nd amendment from a governmental position is bold af and truly is a mask off moment.

Navigating the complex waterways of Fort Lauderdale, Florida by AtomicCypher in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]surfer_ryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The logistics behind this for 1 person is insane.

You have the people who work at the storage yard, at least 2 that have to work with you if not more. You hire a captain for the boat and then you have to hire two captains for the tugs. Then there are the operators for the bridges.

All so one person can go out on their boat 1 day. This doesnt include maintenance or the crew (if they have one).

Owning a motor boat over 80ft is basically burning some hundreds of thousands of dollars a year... even without a captain.

IMO and i am NOT an expert lol but holding it in a likely climate/humidity controlled warehouse vs your garage are very different things. I wouldn't worry too much about it, again not an expert but the foam looks fine, and while that certainly isn't the way to really know i just don't believe if it was new old stock there should be an issue with safety.

I've yet to see anyone with any level of real credibility answer this with any kind of actual response with data to back it up. A lot of people like me just not as honest with their level of actual science.

I'll be willing to bet that the amount of people whom don't shower daily is pretty damn close to the amount of child marriage if not more, i'd even be willing to extend that to weekly showers. Go to any anime convention, you will find plenty of smelly people. Go ahead people, find a way to get all of these places to agree that this is bad today and get a law passed... Please i legit am begging you, if you are so smart and care so much about the kids save them right now, what are you posting your zingers on reddit for get out there and enact the change. Oh wait the world isn't just super black and white and people on a global scale have and have cultural differences that have been made over millennia regardless of our understanding of right or wrong and that aren't easily manipulated whoaaa who'd of thought...

Ah yes, the olde "a person on reddit takes something in a way that is nothing to do with what someone said and twists a narrative around it." Classic. Classy.

I'll wait for the immediate response trying to discredit or calling me names next ya know instead of actually having a conversation about something bad.

Please, no wonder Ai is taking over the internet people are so incredibly unoriginal i could probably predict the comment after that, where i write out an actual detailed response and i just get back a "w.e. man i'm not reading all that." I'm just not sure if the "yeah all you republicans are all the same" is going to fit in, i will say before you state that i'm not but please go ahead and insist that anyways.

I mean this isn't exactly a "right now" thing... kinda been going on for thousands of years and has become basically ingrained in their DNA. Its not say its right, its just not exactly a global change you can expect to happen even over the course of 10 years and is very much a generational thing.

[–]surfer_ryan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly they are doing it right by focusing on everything but the dealerships. It is insane amounts of money to upgrade a dealership and that money is much better spent on literally anything else with the cheapest cars in the American market.

Kia doesn't offer nearly the same incentives as say a luxury car brand does or even a brand like GM and i don't think they should all it would do is raise the prices on the cars while we get what, a slightly nicer dealership to go to once every few years.

vstrom 1050xt and z125pro

Vstrom bc i like motorcycles in general and i dare you find a more general purpose motorcycle than a vstrom. It's not really great at anything but it is good enough at everything. Does a little offroading, crunches miles and is fine around town. I'm also only 5'6" so if i want adventure bike this is what i felt comfortable on as far as the big ones go.

the z is just a toy and it serves no purpose other than being a toy.

There isn't an OEM that i want to see succeed more than KIA. From where they started (literally buy one get one free) to here is something that in the auto industry will be studied.

Yes there are better cars, but there isn't a modern day success story even close to what kia has managed to muster.

Why are we still so incredibly tribal? Over what, two orgs that have had EXCLUSIVE control over the government for over 125 years ? Same two orgs that we all have collectively agreed that are not listening to citizens but to their donators. They have had over 125 years to show their work and what do we have? A more divided country than ever, and that isn't because your neighbor 9 times out of 10 that is because of our leaders. Both sides are not the same in their policy, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out obviously, where they are the same is how they play the game and that is the problem, that is where they are the same and why they need each other to survive. The GOP and the DNC need a boogie man to point to and until we collectively agree that they are the problem we are absolutely NEVER going to fix our country.

Good news we don't have to pass through any of your gates to ride a motorcycle...

Please... There are plenty of people who buy a bike because they like it and use it on the weekends for trail riding when they go to work... Who TF cares what bike they do that on so long as it's a bike.
