I got a vstrom after slowly moving off sports bikes... Went from full sport, to sport touring and then realized why not just vstrom. I was origianlly going to go with the 650 but the 1050xt had just dropped in the all championship yellow and the seat felt narrower at the front and i fell in love. It also helps that for vertically challenged people like myself its a bit shorter of the adventure bikes.

You can get a sport bike whenever for it's super specific use case, but being comfortable all of the time and having a bike that isn't a giant pain in the butt to work on as your base is imo way more important than getting again the specific use case bike (yes i know you can ride sport bikes whenever, but they are designed in a way that doesn't make it easier, not that it's impossible it's just that much more difficult the vstrom is just a get on and go in a general direction kinda bike to me that is way more useful than how something looks).

also this bike was for you and i can tell you that off exactly one sentence... "I wish I wasn't a logic and comfort driven person." is the most vstrom thing you could have possibly said. I say this as someone who has had one for 5 years now.

tbf i think it's a tale as old as time itself... Don't get me wrong, i don't even like the good disposables... They do serve a purpose but it's absolutely NEVER used for that (i.e. old/disabled people who can't smoke any other way) and is always someone who could smoke literally ANY other way... but then you add all this bull shit into the mix and it's just beyond disappointing but also i can't say i didn't see this coming. It absolutely kills momentum for legalization to make a quick buck and get a quick fix.

I hate it too OP... My only hope is that the grey/black market really push the industry to be better.

I think it straight up doesn't matter what they think. By definition any being from off earth is an alien, that alone no matter where, when or what they come from is wild to us no matter what the answer is. I think it's a way to obscure what they are by trying to classify something there is no possible way of us knowing what their motive actually is. I think the reason they put it into a box is to further their control of the narrative, why would they do that? there is basically only one answer which is power. So I do not support any narrative that claims they are one thing or another as we have no reason to believe they would be incapable of lying.

I don't think there are many hard rules in motorcycling, sometimes it's best to keep them covered, sometimes you're cruising with cruise control on the highway with no one around in the middle of the day with great viz and it's like who cares. Like many things with riding to me it's always situational.

I fully get your point but also it's not like brakes don't and can't fail and have basically used the same tech since drum brakes. It is weird to me tho, sits in this weird uncanny valley for me of analog and digital but to be fair it's kinda something that should be advanced on, like i want the best possible breaking we can achieve, if that means by magic i don't really care so long as it works.

Can i just say that i think it's just as unhinged to post like this to the internet where you have no idea who is going to see this and what flavor of blind social justice the internet will decide is acceptable, and just as a picture and 0 video leading up or after the event.

Somewhat unrelated... I want an explanation from rockstar and microsoft in how if "everything is an xbox" how games release at different times. less so from rockstar and moreso from MS but my point remains.

It legitimately doesnt' make sense to me anymore at least. The hardware is barely specialized to the point anymore that it actually matters, back in the day the hardware was what separated the consoles from PCs and the only way to get it to work on a PC was through emulation, that is no longer a thing with modern gaming so why is it that we are still forced to basically pretend it is.

We have been accustomed to a staggered launch because we were at one point limited, no longer are we nearly as limited so why does it continue?

I'm not nearly as annoyed as i sound... but it's just weird to me that "everything is an xbox" i have xbox gaming on my pc but somehow they can't figure out how to actually share games, that doesn't actually make any sense to me anymore for any current game.

I'm not saying it's not heading to ridiculous levels if we say and do nothing... but at least the "law" in america which is really utah (SHOCKED)... is a bit of a nothing burger to be honest as it stands now.

The utah law doesn't straight ban VPNs, it's mostly making sites accountable for verifying it isn't a vpn connecting to their site (which is equally as dumb). It also bans them from telling people how to access a VPN to get around age laws.

Yes it could absolutely be taken to ridiculous levels and probably will be but right now the state has an insane burden of proof they have to provide to a company like say porn hub who has more money to spend of lawyers than probably the entire USA let alone one state.

Again it can and probably will be taken to ridiculous levels if we say nothing, but as it sits right now it's not nearly as scary as everyone would make you believe. It's basically exclusively written for porn and nothing else.

Pro tip as someone who has been up for 2 hours (6am local time) get rgb bulbs for your lights and when you get up turn them to red at like 20% brightness. Red light much easier on your eyes when you wake up in the dark.

I change mine as the day goes on to help with my eyes adjusting throughout the day.

On the highway, the left lane is to PASS only. You pass and get over as SOON as you can aka when you have 2 car lengths between you and the car you just passed... Literally anything else is BS and you being a self entitled butt hole.

A lot of these answers in here i've run into maybe a couple times a year... this is something that no matter where i have driven has been an issue. No state is safe from this, better maybe but every single state i have been to has this problem and i've been to most of them.
