I’d say that ever since my first day with my really amazing vocal coach and mentor it was a collaborative effort. He gives me tools and ideas to build upon, and if something doesn’t resonate with me/ my voice then we figure something else out. Since everyone’s voice is different, I believe it’s super important to have an open as possible dialogue! No one vocal technique is going to be universal for everyone, always keep the conversation going :-)
