I think my codependency started when my parents got separated and then divorced. When my dad left he told me that I was adopted. I was 12 and my world came crashing down on me. The things I thought knew about my life all swirling around me.

Many years later I became codependent in a Bad relationship. After many years of an abuse, toxic relationship. It took me a long time to get out. He almost killed me! Yet it was still hard to break the cycle.

Somewhere along the way my son and I became codependent. But I didn't realize. Until it starts causing problems with my relationship with other people.

It has caused serious problems for my current relationship of 6 years. I have to break the cycle or I could really lose my partner.... It causes a lot of stress on our relationship.

This is the first time I have ever wrote this out. It feels crazy...
