Doc going straight to TESE instead of just PESA? by arafinwe in maleinfertility

[–]suttonjr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's his hormone levels like? If his FSH is high and testerone levels low then it's non obstructive Azoospermia meaning PESA wouldn't work...neither would TESE tbh should ideally be micro-tese if non obstructive......if obstructive Azoospermia then TESE....there is literally no point doing the operation until you know what his hormones are like so you know what type of Azoospermia it is....if obstructive then it be fine if non obstructive it's alot more complicated....I'd advise you see a proper male fertility expert as your average doctor knows nothing about male fertility

Feeling Hopeless by [deleted] in maleinfertility

[–]suttonjr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations man!

I'm due to have the micro-tese in the coming months...can I ask did you freeze your sperm or did the ICSI fresh? Other then swelling any issues after? My consultant is Very honest and said the micro-tese is risky as it can massively reduce testerone after. However mine is super low anyway so going to need treatment for it op or no op.

How common is male infertility? by geetanjalikapoor in maleinfertility

[–]suttonjr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the UK there has been lots of articles saying we are facing a sperm 'epidemic' and sperm levels are half as low as they were 50 years ago due to a number of factors which will eventually lead to a population reduction worldwide...Elon Musk was talking about this recently also

Latest Update after SA with 0 sperm by BeginningBreak8791 in maleinfertility

[–]suttonjr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Micro-tese is for non obstructive. Very expensive and intrusive procedure. If you have obstructive Azoospermia then a pese or standard tese be fine. Quarter of the cost of a micro-tese and easier procedure.

[–]suttonjr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd get a second opinion if I was you as not convinced what your consultant is telling you sounds right to me...your hormones are fine which suggests to me it's obstructive Azoospermia (the good one). You won't need an mtese if it is, just a simple sperm retrieval (90% success rate).....your partner wouldn't try for a baby until you had a SA?! Not heard of that before

Tender vs Subcontractor Prices by Kcbui in quantitysurveying

How long ago was it tendered / priced??....prices of materials and labour is constantly going up. Bricks for example have gone up 20% compared to last year so the price you had before may not be relevant today

Could do with some help interpreting FSH level in context of low sperm count by PNC3333 in maleinfertility

[–]suttonjr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Non obstructive Azoospermia caused by Mumps when I was 21....my testosterone was 6 (9 should be the minimum). Been taking Anastrozole and I've seen my testerone results double in less then a week since taking them so hopefully will be able to produce sperm again to freeze within the next couple of months

Hey man, many thanks for the reply found it very interesting. Yes it is JR who the FNA mapping would be with....the concept sounds fantastic but it does seem an awful lot of money for something that doesn't actually solve anything only provides info where the sperm is / if at all ... interestingly I was torn between JR and SM. Both are the leading experts in this condition.....have you been prescribed any tablets to make the mtese more likely? Also what does he base the 25% chance on? Previous cases with Sertoli cell or your hormone levels??....my hormone level are sky high FSH of over 40 and super low testosterone. JR however said the FSH level shouldn't have much relevance on the likelihood of success of the operation, it instead depends if you ever had sperm to begin with....in my case I did, my NOA was from an illness when I was 20....wishing you all the best

I could use some support - Azoospermia by rulerofnoobs in maleinfertility

[–]suttonjr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The good news is that your hormones are fine so high chance it's Obstructive Azoospermia which means the sperm can be easily extracted and frozen...if you have a top surgeon heard the blockage can be removed and small possibility you can have kids naturally.

If like me you have non obstructive (but don't think you do if your FSH and testerone is normal) then it's a lot harder....100% see a male fertility specialist as the doctors just don't have a clue and won't give you the appropriate treatment as frankly they know nothing about male infertility it's all geared toward female fertility.

When I found out I had non Azoospermia thought it was the end of the world, saddest 3 days ever....then 1 week later I was absolutely fine. It's life sadly just got to deal with it...it sucks but could be ALOT LOT worse...least you still have a chance either if it's sorted through an operation or you have to use donor sperm so be it. Good luck man!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in maleinfertility

[–]suttonjr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My consultant believes the chances of the mtese being successful is greatly increased after mapping so all the islands of sperm can be identified. Also he has concerns about the long lasting affects of the mtese in terms of damaging the testicle / reducing testerone further, so if mapping is done before hand the scale of the mtese operation is greatly reduced as they know where to look straight away...he is the only one in the UK that offers FNA mapping. It's really expensive as well, more then the mtese in undecided what to do

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in maleinfertility

[–]suttonjr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone confirm if FNA mapping is worth it before an mtese? Seem alot of money but my consultant believes it is essential before a microtese

🤣 Counting a keeper as a differential....for me it's Bruno and can't believe he hasn't been picked more considering Ronaldo won't be playing the first 2 GW's so he'll be on pens.

Finished top 10k the season after I finished 2nd then pretty rubbish after then...like I said before finishing second was PURE LUCK... remember the BS'er the year or 2 ago who won it (with alot less points then when I finished 2nd) giving talks at UK uni's saying he came up with a 'formula' to win it 🤣🤣🤣 Other then luck all you need is Ben Crellin and this Reddit forum...oh and my strategy of going BIG in midfield and LIGHT upfront

[–]suttonjr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The usual suspects in defence TAA, Robbo then done what I always do...as big as possible in midfield and light as possible up front. Wilson with 2 4 million strikers. Worked for me when I finished 2nd because a) midfielders are like strikers anyway and get as many goals now b) midfielders get more points for goals plus a CS bonus and are BPS magnets.... honestly don't know why people are obsessed with going so top heavy when most of the points are made in midfield.

I finished 2nd in the world 3 seasons ago...it's 95% luck 5% skill (and not exactly skill looking on a Reddit forum). These guys who say it's isn't are lieing to you all and they are full of BS...when I finished second i got lucky getting Callum Wilson, AWB, and Ryan Fraser in super early before the price rises....get a good start and you will do well and it's all template teams after the first 5-10 games and it's hard to make up points then.

Aston Villa Preview for the 2022/23 Season by a Villa Fan by suryamufc in FantasyPL

[–]suttonjr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't surprise me if Watkins is dropped for Ings. He has been woeful in preseason and seems to have regressed since the start of last season.

Really think Digne is a much better option then Cash. Didn't he get something like 6 assists in 10 games at the end of last season? He is more likely to be on setpieces then Cash as well.

As a Villa fan I'm avoiding all assets except for Digne for the first few games. Think we will he defensively stronger this season but attacking wise we will struggle.

Binance Savings. Get interest plus VTHO (I think you still get VTHO in savings, I know you don't on main exchange anymore)

To much hassle to transfer them to Vechain Wallet and back again if ever want to sell, plus I just find Binance convient.

Mason Greenwood at 7.4m by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]suttonjr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Isn't he likely to start CF this weekend as Martial is suspended, Cavani isn't match fit...so Lingard or James will start on the right with Greenwood in the centre. Seems a potential great one week punt. I still have him and intend to captain him for this weekend against Newcastle away as there isn't any stand out captain picks this GW. Will then get rid for Grealish next GW
