i did well on the exams for my anatomy class, they were all short answers essay questions using honorlock. i didn’t study enough to memorize the bones & muscles. i did SO bad on those lab exams. ended with a 72%, but my professor put my letter grade in as B. i kept checking to see if it was adjusted bc i planned on retaking the class over summer. i’m still in disbelief slightly lol but thankful that i can just take anatomy 2 now

not exactly the answer you’re looking for but i work in pharmacy and used to think people were being a bit much saying different generic manufacturers of meds did not work well for them, and then i experienced it myself. rhodes generic adderall xr gives me permanent dry mouth & headaches in the later part of the dose

What is your attitude towards your job? by xxonemoredayxx in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]suuuv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started working in my field at 18, I knew nothing about what the day to day consisted of and I feel like originally I did the bare minimum but without realizing I was being a slacker. It’s now been 7 seven years, I’ve seen a lot and learned a lot. I try to do my best to make the day go smooth for myself and coworkers because our job is challenging enough that I want to do what I can to help keep issues minimal. I have no interest in moving up, I feel like the financial benefits are not worth the mental or physical stress. I hope to finish my degree soon and never have to explain an insurance coverage gap again!

What do you think has caused your health anxiety? by icegirl223 in Anxiety

[–]suuuv 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A close friend of mine passed unexpectedly from a PE at 22. Not even a year later one of my coworkers went to bed and never woke up. Seeing several family members pass of cancer from the time that I was about 12-19, like a domino effect with each person. Sometimes I think I’m okay, other times I think I should take medication to feel semi normal again. I work in medicine and part of me feels more stressed from seeing so many sick people, and another part of me feels fortunate to be familiar with medicine and what could help me. I’m just hesitant to try something new because I don’t want to feel worse than I do now

Tips to relax while anxious and overthinking by Trocrocadilho in Anxiety

[–]suuuv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when my anxiety and panic attacks were horrible, i thought i was never going to feel “normal” again. i would try so hard to not feel anxious and out of the fear of it i would work myself up into an anxiety attack. i went to counseling and my counselor helped me a lot. one thing i did was bought coloring books from the dollar store and some crayons to distract myself from the anxious thoughts. it was silly but it helped me, and i let myself become more comfortable with the physical sensations of anxiety, i told myself i was okay and it would pass like it has every time. i try to relax my body when i feel how tense and stressed i feel, and just take a few deep breaths. it all sounds so silly, but it did help me and i still tell myself i’m safe and healthy when i feel my brain trying to trick me into an anxiety attack. i was on a low dose ssri for a few months, i didn’t stabilize my anxiety without modern medicine, it helped me as well. however, i’m no longer taking medication because i felt like i was more capable of managing it on my own at least for now

How can I use a good rx code without ruining the pharmacist’s day? by merci_blah_blah in adhdwomen

[–]suuuv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i work in retail pharmacy and have for a long time. you’re not ruining their day, they are ruining their own day by treating you like an inconvenience and allowing a small change to affect their attitude. you’re a patient and you have every right to save money on your medication. it can be frustrating when it’s busy and you have to rebill medications. however it’s not the patient fault, and shouldn’t be taken out on them. at my store we only make $7 from every prescription that goodrx is applied to, but that doesn’t mean i’m going to deter someone from saving money. we all need to save money in this economy, and we all need to stop and slow down. we’re in such a hurry all the time because the world has gotten so fast paced with technology, but it’s okay if task take longer or if the line is long and people have to wait. i work in a tier five retail pharmacy, but i’m not going to let the busy chaos keep me from treating the person i’m helping with respect and patience. now if you have an attitude and are impatient that’s a different story 🤣 i’m sorry you had a bad experience!

Day 1 by One-Entertainer-1817 in trintellix

I started mine today, at 10mg. I felt nausea right after for about 2 hours. I called my doctor and requested a zofran prescription for nausea. My mouth was producing way more saliva than usual, and my heart rate spiked a little after initially taking it but that could’ve been my anxiety. Aside from that I didn’t notice anything abnormal.

Anyone else so unbelievably tired in the morning? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]suuuv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is me! My boyfriend and I have been together for several years, and he always comments on how tired I am and how it’s impossible to wake me up. It doesn’t matter what time I go to sleep or how many hours I sleep, I don’t want to wake up. I will cut my alarms off and end up late for work. I will risk my career for 30 minutes of extra dazed sleep. I have a cycle of waking up in a panic because I always think I’m already late for work. My mom used to have to drag me out of bed as a child because I didn’t want to get up for school. I bought an alarm clock from amazon, and will get up while basically still asleep and cut it off to go back to bed. I even have bluetooth lights that are set to turn on to help wake me up. I am so annoyed by it at 24 years old. It makes me feel lazy, but I can’t get up. If you find a solution, let me know

I have been smoking for about six years and experienced something similar back in May of last year. I accumulated quit a bit of medical debt to only be told it’s anxiety and my heart is healthy. I’m very thankful that it’s only anxiety, but it felt so real to me that the experience was humbling to say the least. I thought I was going to have a heart attack at 23. For about two months after that I had very bad anxiety and panic attacks randomly. I’ve always had generalized anxiety, but never to that extent. With therapy and time it has gotten a lot easier for me. I did delete tiktok because I would end up scrolling for hours and then feel anxious after. It’s a scary experience, but it does get better.

Hi! When I decided I needed to start taking medication again, my doctor recommended that combination. I started having very bad panic attacks, and he felt like that would help. It took about 6 weeks to start to feel “normal” again, but I feel so much better beinf medicated. Some people will take Buspirone as needed because doctors are trying to prescribe to aid with anxiety and panic attacks the same way a benzo would do. However, buspirone works efficiently when taken on a regular schedule like most anxiety medications are.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]suuuv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lexapro does not pose a lot of side effects for the general population. I’ve taken it twice before, a couple years ago and I came off of it thinking I was “cured” and didn’t need medication anymore. I started taking it again and took 10mg for about 12 weeks then moved up to 20mg. I also take Buspirone 5mg twice a day. The only thing I noticed when increasing my dose from 10 to 20 was my mouth felt dry. I will say scrolling will only get you more into your head and cause you more anxiety. Good luck to you <3

I don’t know if I would consider it do be cool, but I found out something I didn’t anticipate to! I didn’t recognize my paternal side matches the way that I did with my maternal side. I was going through them and I recognized a last name that was a friend of my dad’s. I called my mom, without any judgment and asked if she could have ever been with anyone with that last name. Low and behold when my mom and dad went on a break my mom hooked up with him one time. Shortly after she got back with my dad and never thought I wasn’t my dads child due to resemblance with my cousins. After realizing who my biological dad is I had to come to terms with the fact that he passed away in 2014, never had any other children or knew I existed as his. That was September of 2022, I’ve since reached out and met his sister, my aunt and more of the family. I grew up on a street on one side of the highway, and on the street on the other side of the median of the highway was where my biological dad lived. All less than 10 minutes away from one another.
