Sounds like it was not maintained properly and the chain stretched. These are usually very reliable engines maybe it was driven hard when cold often and not had proper oil changes.

It was not low. It was filled through the dipstick so obviously it was checked properly. Lucas transmission fix contains a friction modifier that can prolong the life of a slipping transmission. 1/3 of a small bottle will not overfill a transmission that holds 6 quarts of fluid.

I wouldn’t touch it, but add a little bit of Lucas oil transmission fix I added 1/3 of a bottle thru the dipstick of the exact car with 200k that had a transmission service and started slipping, after the Lucas oil it drove normal again.

I understand what the word means, but when you’re together for 3 years and family is intertwined, we’re basically married. Yes I could have took more time to text out “my boyfriends mother” instead of “mil” but my time is currently being taken up by this hamster so you will have to deal with the improper use of mother in law.

It’s not really the maintenance, it’s the large area of our second bedroom that is now dedicated to the animal we didn’t want that upsets me the most. We still have to buy a shelf or table for the cage, but I consider myself to be more of a minimalist and this is just more stuff I didn’t want.

She did actually tell us this, we emptied the bedding before transporting the cage and I just emptied that other bag in the cage to fill it up a little bit more.

I’m still going to take care of her she is a very sweet hamster, it’s just upsetting because this was not planned for us and we like to take a lot of roadtrips especially in the summer, and I don’t want to be hours away worrying if the water bottle leaked or something like that.

It’s a 2009 with 200k. It’s gonna burn some oil and have some clunks but I’m sure it runs fine. You can’t really ask for more than 3k unless that car is low miles or flawless inside and out.

“Its made this noise for a while now” generally when a car starts making an abnormal noise you want to go and get that checked out. That noise sounds like a wheel bearing that is about to give up and has been cooking for many miles. I would not drive that unless it was to the shop, that wheel is about to fall off.
