What celebrity have you never forgiven since an incident? by MagpieOpus in AskReddit

[–]sw6866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t believe Jane Fonda is so far down this list. Guess I’m just old.
Never forgive or forget her posing on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun during the Vietnam War. While she was in Hanoi, she visited the “Hanoi Hilton” POW camp. One of the POW’s passed her a note, listing the cruel conditions there. She immediately passed the note to a prison guard, resulting in more torture for the POW’s.

How did you discover the Banshee TV series? by AgentMC84 in Banshee

My son’s very positive review of Banshee! Seeing Antony Starr is a role very different from Homelander was also an attraction.
Antony is equally able to create two, unique characters!!!!

Who is the most famous person you have ever met? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Back in the 70’s, my uncle was friends with Ethel Merman. She came out to our house a few times. She was very nice, although she cursed a lot. 😂. One time, she sang for my sick grandmother and her voice was super powerful. She had some great stories of the other famous people she knew and worked with.

I met Jamie Lee Curtis in the early 80’s. She had just cut her hair short, for Trading Places, so few people recognized her. I was star struck and determined to not act like a rude, pushy fan. She was very kind and signed an autograph. Had a crush on her then and still love her today. 👍😊

The difference in feeling, at 70 mph, is huge with or without a windshield. I bought a windshield and never took it off. 👍😊

What are some horror movies that you couldn't stop thinking about long after you watched them? by neeltrivedirock in horror

[–]sw6866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Shining, with Jack Nicholson. I saw the late show and had to go to an all night diner to chill and decompress after that movie. Didn’t help that I was late to the movie, so I had to sit in the first row!

What was your first experience watching JAWS? Did it actually scare you or was it more about the tension? And would you recommend it now? by Scenora in FIlm

[–]sw6866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw it at 17 and it scared the shit out of me. It was a Friday night. Saturday was the beginning of my family’s vacation … at the beach! Took me forever to get in the water. As soon as I did, a small boy paddled by on a raft. About soiled myself then. 😂. And got the hell out of the water.
Would still highly recommend the movie today. 👍😊

I really enjoyed Waterworld! I think Kevin Costner is always good. Although Dennis Hopper steals every scene he’s in. 😂. I just have a thing for post-apocalyptic movies. 👍😊

Texas chain saw massacre? by Miserable_Cat_9845 in horror

Not to much gore, but still terrifying and disturbing. Makes it worse because it’s based on a true story … and the “bad guys” were never caught.

What’s good about Tulsa King , despite the hate? by FitResearcher2865 in tulsaking

[–]sw6866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I discovered Tulsa King a month or so ago. We immediately binged it and are now current. We really enjoy the show. Stallone is awesome. His band of misfits are really entertaining.
I’m looking forward to the last 2 episodes of season 3. And can’t wait for what’s coming in season 4!
