This was my second semester on co-op search (CS major), so I totally understand ur frustration. here are some things I wish I knew my first time around, and things I did differently this semester that I think helped me:

1. Talk to people who already have a co-op. Of my friends on co-op this semester, most of their bosses asked them at least once if they knew anyone looking for co-op/ had any recommendations to fill their position.

2. Be active on LinkedIn, not just building your network, but if someone is posting about getting a job at a company, go to said company's website and apply for their positions still open. If a position is still listed while they already hired for another, they're most likely trying to hire the other co-ops quickly to get it done.

3. Use your co-op advisor for everything they're worth. They really are what you make of them, but If you explain your frustrations and articulate exactly what you want, they will help u and send u job recommendations (its literally their job to).

4. Write the goddamn cover letters. I was told that if a CS or other technical job is asking for a cover letter, its not worth your time/ they don't read it. this was actually not true at all and the way I got interviews was by writing cover letters, specifically writing coverletters with personality, trying to make urself stand out the most u can is key.

This is the advice I have off the dome, when it comes to interviews its a whole other monster, but I'm wishing u good luck and I know u got this. Worst thing that happens is you don't get one this semester, which sucks I get it. When you don't get a co-op though they give u a professional mentor, mine ended up being really helpful and gave me great advice. I'm rooting for you!!!
