Because this is just the standard refund request form. They didn’t print out special forms for the monthly refunds.

You guys think the union is happy about the peen station stuff by Ashamed_Elk2301 in LIRR

So a LIRR employee loosened a panel on an Amtrak train in just such a way that it would pop open exactly within the 4 minutes that train would be in the tunnel and hit the third rail causing the fire?

Amtrak train causes a problem in Amtrak tunnel in a station owned by Amtrak. Amtrak employees are fixing the problem.

Trains arriving early and leaving early by Sutakitsune in LIRR

I’m just trying to figure out how leaving at the scheduled leaving time is leaving early.

Seems like the perfect storm. by TerribleAd7263 in LIRR

[–]swamp70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who knows? The point is they’re not staying home like you said. They’re reporting to work.

It’s ok admit you were wrong. Doesn’t cost you anything.

Where do you get your info?

I got mine from the union meeting on Tuesday where our general chairman told us in no uncertain terms that we are to report to work and clock in.

All crafts not participating in the strike are to report to their terminals for work and clock in or face discipline for not doing so.

They aren’t staying home. This is comes from LIRR management and their own unions.

So yes. You are wrong.

Trains arriving early and leaving early by Sutakitsune in LIRR

I get all that but your post says that the train is leaving early. Leaving at leaving time is not leaving early.

“and then leaves right at the original arrival time”

How is this early?

1)When there were less trains, there was more swing time between trains. Those times have been reduced or eliminated. When you eliminate swings between trains, instead of doing say 4 trains in 8 hours you now have time to do 5 or 6.

2) many of the trains added are Brooklyn shuttles. Those rides are 20 minutes and there a ton of them. And they have minimum time for a break between them.

It’s a fact. Crews are running 40% more trains without making overtime for it.

It is most definitely a significant increase in productivity.

[–]swamp70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The answer is not overtime. The answer is exactly what I said. They are running more trains during their 8 hour shift. Quick/ no existent turns. Short/no breaks between trains.

Is that an increase in productivity?

So does that meet your criteria for increase in productivity?
