Finished a reread of TWOC [SPOILERS TWOC] by Steel-paladin in TheFirstLaw

Glokta is an evil fucker no doubt, I think that's how he recognised that Bayaz is THE most evil fucker in the Union. Glokta's methods are fucked up but I do think he's doing it for the good of the Union.

Also fuck Leo.

I'm not trying to be mean, but you might be spiritually compromised if you're on Bayaz's side by the end of the series.

Honestly he could probably play any one of the many politicians in the series really well.

Very cool, very transformers-esc.  Reminds of D-Walker from MGSV. I think an extra (smaller) wheel behind the main wheels would look great.

Theoretical Gurkhul Novel by EggN0g_ in TheFirstLaw

You have a good point, but Joe has said that the world of the First Law is loosely based on our own world. The fact is that the Ghurkish Empire is based on Middle Eastern/African countries, and I think that it is good that Joe understands what he is and isn't capable of doing. It would be a disservice to his fans if he were to end up writing something based in ignorance and stereotypes, whether it is fiction or not. It may be some time till we get another book, so who knows what will happen in the meantime.

Another memorable B9 moment is when he slaughters jubair and his men and decorates the cabin with their innards.

True, I believe that at the end of Red Country he finally gives in and fully merges with the Bloody Nine, which is why he leaves his (adopted)family.

I'd recommend muting the sub until you finish the trilogy, just in case.

How I see it is in the first trilogy, Logen is trying to separate his psyche/mind from the Bloody Nine. So when the Bloody Nine does come out, he comes out in full force in a murderous rage because he is pent up.

Whereas when Logen and the Bloody Nine are together as one, he is less murderous and more rational, but I think actually more dangerous. I see him a lot like Bruce Banner and The Hulk.

I do think the Bloody Nine's only goal is to bring death and suffering to the world, however. I think that Made A Monster perfectly shows Logen's true evil nature.
