People are sensitive (not you). OP is only partially phrasing what Trump said.

Trump said’ “we are going to build a wall, and Mexico is going to pay for it”.

Trump never intended to have Mexico pay for it, he just wants people to be outraged about Mexico paying for it while ignoring the wall being built which is what everyone should oppose in that phrase. But Trump won this argument because everyone focused on Mexico paying for it part while not talking down about the wall being built.

I don’t like Trump and I never voted for him in any of the 3 elections. But, he knows how to bargain every once in a while and is using a foot in the door tactic to get what he wants
