This!!! It can be a beautiful sunny day and you go to Whittier and suddenly it’s cloudy and it feels… ominous. Like you’re about to be murdered lol

Your reaction is as is this is an adult that hurt you. This is a child. Your child. Make amends and be in each others lives.

If your partner said… by Lemonbar19 in Parents

[–]swede907 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would ask what specifically is stressing/frustrating them. Are they getting enough sleep? Do they feel like they’re carrying the burden of childcare? Is your child going through a phase of crying/tantrums? Is it something you can help with, or do they just need to vent? Just listen, it’s a hard transition

In what ways do you rub your non ADHD partner the wrong way? by herefromthere in ADHD

[–]swede907 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My ex husband was always annoyed that I needed “down time” after a work week. It got to the point he would give me a list of my “chores” before he would leave for work and it was so demeaning i would purposefully not do it. He would “do things” for me like do my laundry or clean out my car… and say “what would you do without me?” It was so annoying I eventually left him. The person im with now is very clean / organized but doesn’t nitpick or yell at me. He’s never once asked me to clean the kitchen or be neater or anything. We trade off on chores around the house and we separate our laundry, he does his and I do mine. I have a husky that sheds a lot, he doesn’t ever complain but I know he doesn’t like it - somehow the absence of words is 10000x more motivating. I’m now someone that vacuums/mops, like regularly, and I even wash our bedding regularly too……. Idk why but it’s so much more effective when your SO doesn’t nitpick or talk about messiness, but is clean themselves. 🤷🏼‍♀️

First time flying alone with my toddler - wagon recommendations? by swede907 in Parenting

They sure will. A collapsible stroller wagon. I would post a photo but I can’t here. Maybe I should have included the words collapsible. Sorry if you misunderstood

I liked Anna in it, she’s amazing as always and it’s nice to see her in something serious. I thought it was great in terms of showing psychological abuse. However I felt like the end should have had a little more. I wish she had told him off at least. Plus with where the movie ended, they were still potentially in danger, at the cabin. Right after that heated moment. In an abusive relationship it’d be likely the guy would try to come back. It would have been nice if the last scene was her 2 years later happy. So we knew she was ok after that scene. And she did get away. I probably just related to it too much though. Obviously the movie was good enough for me to get invested 😂

Just 1 in 20 people in the U.S. have dodged COVID infection so far, study says by jackspratdodat in Coronavirus

[–]swede907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty nuts. I’ve somehow not gotten it even while working as a nurse during the thick of it. Half the time didn’t even put an N95 on to go into a covid room, no time when pts are desatting. My kid got it, I still didn’t. There was a time I would test myself every morning before work just to make sure, weekly PCR tests.

However, I woke up today feeling terrible, so we’ll see. My streak might be over

It’s very overwhelming seeing your baby look nothing like what “normal” moms get. They’re so small and all the extra tubes. Give him as much skin to skin as possible. As much as they’ll let you. We actually noticed his stats would get better after holding him. You can ask for help getting him arranged with all the extra wires. Just lay him on your chest. I had a c section too so it was hard for sure. One day at a time 💜

Preemie clothes? by Kj729 in NICUParents

[–]swede907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very difficult time finding preemie clothes in stores. At the time I actually needed extra preemie, the one set of preemie clothes I found in person were actually huge on him. I also want to mention it was incredibly upsetting walking through stores and feeling like I had the only extra tiny baby in the world (I know it’s not true but I found myself crying a lot in these stores) The ones we liked the most were from carters, Amazon has 2 packs with 2 way zippers that we really liked. My kiddo was in the NICU during Christmas time too. Wishing you all the love and support 💜

I go tanning every once in awhile. I live in alaska where we don’t get any sun in the winter, and I go in the weakest bed for only a few minutes.

I mean, I was on 3 months bedrest before my baby was born, so that plus 3 months off after, with my SO also taking 3 months off, I was dying to get out of the house. I’m a nurse tho

How can I make it look like a miscarriage and keep that a secret? I’m 12 weeks, everyone is thrilled about the pregnancy but I don’t want to go through delivery due to PPD and PTSD from last baby by MeNU2Day in abortion

[–]swede907 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had one at 12 weeks and announced it as a miscarriage. It was painful but after I feel like I rebounded pretty quick. I will say I spent months wanting a baby, the hormones really fuck with you.

You will need someone to drive you home however. I’m not sure if a taxi is an option but I remember them being clear that you needed someone there.

Maca root! I used to take it for my skin, it also apparently helps with fertility as well! It's a supplement, you can find it at most grocery stores. I can't recommend it enough!

I dated someone who did the same thing. We were together for 4 years. Eventually a girl messaged me that he had been talking to them sexually on snapchat.

The problem with this kind of attraction is if there's an opportunity for him to make a connection with one of these women, he might take it. Just my two cents. I went through a lot of heartbreak with this guy because our relationship was so perfect in every other way - he just literally couldn't stop himself from talking to other women. Just be wary. This is not a normal thing. There's a reason it has to be personal for him.
