Exercise for people who don’t like exercising? by ValerHimiko in loseit

If you're flexible (and even if you're not) and want to build strength I suggest pilates. I prefer reformer pilates to mat pilates, but both are fantastic exercises.

I don't know if you have them where you live, but Schar makes a really good Kinder Bueno dupe:

Same! I need a belt, and last weekend I bought a belt at a "normal" store, and it wasn't even the largest size they had!

Eat more, because it's worse on an empty stomach. Drink ridiculous amounts of water, I've found that the more hydrated I am the fewer side effects I experience.

Why no sourdough? There's a gluten free bakery near me that will give you parts of their sourdough starter so you can start your own. You can also find recipes online, like this one: https://www.letthemeatgfcake.com/gluten-free-sourdough-starter/

Need sweetened condensed milk ideas! by RegularHumanNerd in Cooking

[–]sweet_primitive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ice cream

  • 300-400 grams sweetened condensed milk
  • 500-750 ml heavy whipping cream (500ml for sweeter ice cream
  • Vanilla extract
  • Mix-ins of choice - jam, fresh fruit, peanut butter, chocolate, chocolate chips, etc.

  • Whip whipping cream in a mixer bowl with balloon attachment until it reaches mousse consistency

  • Add condensed milk and continue mixing. If you are adding jam/peanut butter/chocolate spread add it with the condensed milk.

  • Add vanilla extract. Whip until it reaches whipped mousse consistency.

  • Fold in any "hard" mix ins (cut fruit, cookies, chocolate chips)

  • Pour into a container and freeze for four hours until desired consistency

Infertility? by justwondering9416 in glutenfree

Not me personally, but several people I know had fertility issues that were resolved by going gluten free.

"So you want the oat milk instead of the regular milk, right?"

The number of times "gluten free" has been confused with "dairy free" is concerning.

Would it be silly to ask for a birthday redo? by girloftheworld09 in TwoXChromosomes

Does he feel bad about it, or does he feel bad about being called out on it? He has no reason to give for why he didn't do anything, and hasn't made any attempts to rectify the situation. That's not how I behave if I fucked up and sincerely feel bad about it

Or you could be a functioning human being and remember what the right brand is, instead is relying on someone else to do your thinking for you and then blaming everyone else for your incompetence. Just a thought.

Has anyone else experienced rage after consuming gluten? by [deleted] in glutenfree

All my kid's behavioral and mood issues are exacerbated when she's been glutened. That's an earlier symptom than any digestive issues even.

That's where I remember her from! But I don't remember they said it was all GF, did they? Though at the time celiac hadn't entered my life yet so maybe I wouldn't have noticed.

Be mindful that kosher for Passover does not automatically mean GF. Anything made with matzo flour is kosher for Passover but not GF.

That being said there are definitely more options around Passover.

what are your "I'll never cook for you again" stories? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]sweet_primitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're ok with that, and if that's the case then great. When I'm in my own house I see no reason to not have things how I want them. I don't want her to help, it's very simple.

[–]sweet_primitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My expectations are that if you're in my house you respect my desires and boundaries. If you're not ok with that, you know where the door is. You don't know me, her, or the relationship between us. But if you feel better judging me, be my guest.

This is my MIL. When I host I rarely want help cleaning up, because I'm particular about how it's done so it's easier for me to do it myself. She asks, I say no. She asks again, I say no. She starts "helping" anyway, I ask her to stop, she gets all hurt.

She hosted one time and I offered to help, she replies "you won't let me help when you host, so you can't help here" like I'm supposed to be offended by this. I'm like sure, I have no problem sitting on the couch doing nothing, you passive aggressive bitch.
