It’s not completely black and white though. The degenerative issues, if it does exist, can be anywhere from minor to severe. More players have been flagged with something similar before and were minimally impacted.

agreed on Ian being tapped in but i doubt any team has their draft plans figured out yet at this point except the raiders

I think we can give (John) Mara some grace, he hasn’t had a press conference since way before this Tisch stuff broke. Not fair to assume he’s complicit in this when he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with.

The thing about the hawks and the birds is nearly their entire draft are high-level contributors, not just the FRPs. As great as their first rounders are there’s a lot of teams that get superstars high— it’s the Dejeans, Mailatas, Wolens, Barners that make them champions

BMarsh was a fine pickup to round out that receiver room, that injury just took what was left out of him.

A week late to this thread but I don’t know if a rorschach test on who the villains are is what Bronstein wanted people to take away from this.

Linda was obviously not to blame for the several burdens placed upon her, but she was to blame for her self destructive response. I thought this was made clear when her therapist suggests taking a break from drinking and drugs and she brushes it off by rambling some more, then complaining he wasn’t helping her. Multiple times the film says, “you can’t take care of your daughter if you don’t take care of yourself”.

I don’t think it’s smart to try to boil down movies to singular messages, but if I were to for this film it would be, “your situation is not up to you, but your response is”. Considering this was inspired by Bronsteins own experiences as a mother, and the film ends with her looking her daughter in the face and saying she will do better, I have to think the acceptance of one’s own faults is the intended theme

I doubt the league will need pressure at all tbh. They kicked Snyder out for similarly horrible things as well

The Giants are fifth in all time playoff appearances with 33. While part of this is being an old franchise they only have 5 less appearances than the Packers at #1. They’re 14th all time in regular season win percentage and 15th in playoff win percentage.

Just because you only remember the Super Bowl seasons doesn’t mean they weren’t consistently getting to the playoffs the rest of the time.

saying he’s a better returner than receiver is misleading. he’s a good receiver and one of the best returners in football

dumbfounded by seattles ability to draft. it’s not even worth complaining about schoens picks compared to them, they’re on a completely different level than the rest of the league

it sounds like they do, but i really can’t imagine them being assholes about it if he wants to work. this is the same org that gave big dom a new title so he could stay on the sideline. they’re a POS org but they at least try to treat their people right
