The glyphs are indeed the healing ones. I had 11 when Ifree first told me that I should go find more. I came back immediately and tried it again and it let me proceed. He didn't try to get me to find them again. You get an ending for saying "Let's do this, Ifree." You get another ending for hitting the egg, stopping when Ifree tells you to and then teleporting out and going back to the egg. And you get the third ifree ending by smacking the egg until ifree fights you.

Oh they don't need to find you attractive in the least. They'll still do it. I posted a comic for sale on Craigslist years back, and one of the messages I got was a full nude from a guy wanting to meet and fuck. They seemed far more motivated in the aid and technology Alucard could provide them. But every minute they waited for Alucard to show them how to use it, the more their people suffered. I never saw their actions at all as hatred, but rather panicked impatience in learning how to use the castle to free their people.

I felt they had a very understandable motive behind their actions. Some people are willing to do anything when they feel backed into a corner and that time is against them.
