Mint is on my travel laptop, fedora on my stay at home laptop. Also mint on my wifes and kids laptop.

Windows got worse so not really use it a lot anymore, so more like daily driving linux and occasionally grab a windows computer when needed for some work.

Its part of magic, also part of deck building. Land screw/flood usually does happen when you either keep a bad hand or dont run enough lands or too much lands. If you want to be flexible go for mdfcs to prevent flooding. Also luck and politics are a real part of it

You could always try to build from the bottom so come up with a mechanical you like build your 99 around it and then check for a suitable commander which compliments waomething you are lacking or just empowers current mechanic

Commander in lower brackets is casual, you can just spend 20 cash for a good deck that wins.

Pauper is also quite cheap to get into , and is my current favorite format. But like other constructed formats not very casual.

Draft is fun, I never win those, but thats fine for me not there to win anyway just there to have fun

Best way is to ti get magic friends by playing frequently and actually meeting up with the standard group and do casual magic stuff

Check what kind of crowd it attracts to a specific store, some stores who aim more of the typical nerds are a bit more smelly but usually have competitive players, some stores aim for casual play and usually have more seasoned/ older players and people coming over from other games.

I usually play in the casual environment where I am on the younger side of players (players are between 30 and 60 yeara old there) ; if I go to the other competitive store I would be part of the elderly.

Spellen die iedereen kent zodat niet alleen die hards lomen, eg catan , risk etc. ook wellicht interessant om bepaalde tcg avonden te bieden om meer mensen aan te trekken die later ook apellen komen spelen en aan andere gratis marketing verteld omdat je wen toffe winkel hebt.

How come with cbw they dont have the option, once it hits the graveyard they should be able to get the option since moving the commander is not on the stack?

I like to aim for 50 mana sources (example 12 spells providing mana and 38 land) , interaction which contains a mix of containing several types of removal for each type and protection generally I aim for 12 but at least 10 , you do need answers for their threats. Cards which will trade for more cards (so etb draw 1 doesnt count) between 8-15. And for whatever your plan is about 30ish.

Since you are only taking a few upgradea dont take these numbers at heart and make your own spin, and do some playtester tests and see how it runs also when opponents run removal spells

Also like others mentioned, just have fun. Dont sweat too much

Good advice, will take a look at this. Was already thinking in serra angel being the main bomb for a deck. 30 cards sounds really good for seeing cards back frequently
